Monitor production welding activities, visually inspect final welds and perform necessary NDE to ensure that weldments meet the requirements in accordance with the drawing / approved ITP, WPS, NDT Procedures & applicable Codes.

applicable procedures / Code and to the extent identified in the approved ITP. 4 Evaluate the results of relevant / non relevant indications and accept / mark for rectification as the case may be. Repeat the NDT for the rectified items. 5 Prepare the NDT reports and update the system. 6 Notify and offer to Client Inspectors the joints that are to be NDT examined for the Hold / Witness points and obtain their acceptance. 7 Plan and ensure that sufficient NDT consumables are always maintained in the stock. JOB CONTEXT : Responsible for conducting visual & NDT inspections on the materials and weldments, evaluate the results and certify if the product meets the quality requirements. Involves daily interaction with production personnel, other QC Staff & Client Inspectors. Involves movement between the plants and facilities for performing NDT inspections. Knowledge of occupational health and safety rules and practices for the industry KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Knowledge and skills Knowledge of international codes, standards and its interpretations (Intermediate) Knowledge of welding processes, inspection methods, QA/QC related documentations (Intermediate) Ability to read and understand fabrication drawing (Intermediate) Capable of carrying out inspections independently (Intermediate)

Analytical skill, effective communication skill, decision making. Qualification: Pre-univeristy OR Technical school graduate with an equivalent combination of training, skills and experience. Certification as ASNT-NDT Level II in applicable methods. Experience: Minimum 3 years in welding inspection and NDT (for UT, MPI & PT).
