Abstract
With the rapid development of large-scale wind power, more ancillary service will be needed in the electric power systems.
Ancillary service has already been one of the main bottlenecks for wind power integration. In this article, quantitative study was
firstly conducted to examine the impact of large-scale wind power integration on ancillary services cost composed mainly of load
dispatching and reserve. Then, based on the cost estimation results, from the perspective of China electric power reform and
development, a series of compensation mechanisms for the ancillary services of larger-scale wind power integration was proposed.
Finally, at different implementing difficulty levels, corresponding policies were recommended.
