INTRODUCTION:A salary is a form of periodic payment from an employer to an employee, which may be specified in an employment contract.

It is contracted with piece wages, where each job, hour or other units is paid separately, rather than on a periodic basis. A wages is compensation, usually financial, received by workers in exchange for their labor. Compensation in terms of wages is given to workers and compensation in terms of salary is given to employees. Compensation is a monetary benefit given to employees in return for the services provided by them. In different countries, what is actually included and excluded in salary and wage may differ somewhat. The reason is that the way in which workers are compensated for their labor may be somewhat different in different types of economies. For example in some countries workers get substantial payments in kind in other they dont. Systems of social insurance also differ between countries and some countries have little social insurance. SIGNIFICANCE: To get knowledge of the salary and wage payment in a practical way To know the actual benefits that are been provided to employees To know the actual scenario of the companys wage and salary administration.

OBJECTIVES: To know the companys policy for calculating wage and salary To know the way of payment to the employees Maximum and minimum salary of employment. Over times rules for payment to employees to know about the benefits given to the employees

LIMITATION: The duration of the study was limited and hence elaborate and comprehensive project survey was not undertaken. The personal biases of the respondents might have entered into their response. Because of a small period of time only small sample had to be considered which doesnt actually reflect and accurate picture. RESEARCH METHODOLODY:Research methodology is a way of solving research problems. It may be understood as a science of studying how research is done scientifically. In is we study the various steps that are generally adopted by researcher in studying his/her research problems along with logic behind them. Researchers not only know how to develop certain test, how to apply particular technique but they also need to know which of the method are relevant and which are not. All this means that it is necessary for the researchers to design a separate methodology undertaken by him or her. HRM research can be defined as the systematic design, collection, analysis and reporting the data and findings solution to specific human situation facing the company data or may be derived from several sources. Data can be classified as:1. Primary data 2. Secondary data

PRIMARY DATA:Primary data are those data, which are collected a fresh and for the first time, and thus happen to be original in character. The primary data is collected during the course experiment in an experimental research. We can obtain the primary data either through observation or through direct communication with respondent in one form or through personal interview.

The different methods of collecting data in the primary method are: 1. Personal interview 2. Questionnaires

SECONDARY DATA:The secondary data on the other hand, are those which have already been collected by someone else and which have already been passed through the statistical process. The researcher must be very careful while using the secondary data; he must make a little study to isolate the suitable and unsuitable data. The secondary data may be sufficient to solve the problem. Secondary data helps to plan the collection of primary data in case it becomes necessary. We shall therefore discuss secondary data first and then take up primary data. Business firms always have as greater deal of secondary data within them sales statistic constitute the most important component of secondary data in marketing and the researcher used it extensively. The different methods for collecting the secondary data are :1. Newspaper 2. Magazine 3. Company website
