ALL outstanding fees for previous periods should be paid in full BEFORE re-admission is possible. * - A compulsory down payment of R1200 is due at least ONE WEEK BEFORE a student reports in January. Monthly before the third: 10% of the annual residence tariff (See payment agreement). All accounts (class and residence) should be settled in full by 31 October to enable system re-admission.
GENERAL INFORMATION:

1. Tariffs may change without prior notification. 2. Residence tariffs do not include any meals. A minimum initial amount of R150 (including R15 card fee), is payable at Student Accounts or at Standard Bank on an M65. Meal cards are issued at Residence Centre (Building 44), upon proof of payment. 3. Meals may be purchased on a cash/card basis. 4. Meal credits will not be granted upon submission of a sponsorship letter: Upfront payment is compulsory. 5. Electronic payments take 4 days before reflecting on the meal card or student account. 6. The R1 200 residence down payment (payable before registration), is separate from any payments towards class fees. If not paid, the system is blocked, NO residence registration is possible therefore NO occupation of a room allowed. 7. Sponsored applicants should submit an original sponsorship letter or make the required payments themselves. 8. Monthly interest (prime rate), is charged on all amounts in arrears or not according to the payment agreement. 9. Applicants with accounts in arrears will not be readmitted in ANY residence for the following year. 10. Residents are registered and charged per year/semester in accordance with their qualification block. 11. First or second semester fees equals 50% of the annual fee. 12. The resident is liable for the full fee for the month in which admission or cancellation takes place, irrespective the date of occupation or cancellation. Faxes serve as notification only. 13. Disappearing from a residence without signing off will result in one months' extra charges after discovery of the absence. 14. A pro rata credit is granted on system cancellations up to and including 30 April (semester) and 30 September (year) only. 15. No discount is granted on residence fees. 16. Electronic payments should reflect on the student account BEFORE registration or re-admission action is enabled. Proof of payment is not sufficient. 17. Total evacuation in December is compulsory for all residences and some upon request during other holidays.
