Reasons behind fluctuations of Share Prices: 1. BHEL Wins Rs.96 Cr. Order from NTPC September 5, 2013 State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL: Quote) said its electronics division in Bangalore had won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for Rs.96 crore from NTPC Ltd. to set up a 15 MW-solar power plant in Uttar Pradesh. The scope of contract covers design, manufacture, testing, erection and commissioning of the 15 MW grid-Interactive solar power plant at Singrauli in Uttar Pradesh, the company said. BHEL will execute the project covering all works from concept to commissioning and will operate and maintain the project for one year, it said.

The solar plant will come up near the 2000 MW thermal power plant of NTPC at Singrauli. On completion,it is expected to supply over 23 million units of solar power every year to the Uttar Pradesh State grid. The company said BHEL-electronics division is also executing two more solar power plants of 10MW each for NTPC at Unchahar in Uttar Pradesh and Talcher in Orissa. At the BSE, BHEL closed Thursday's trading at Rs.137.20, up 8.20 percent from the previous close. 2. BIFR sanctions merger of BHEL & Bharat Heavy Plate Sep 02, 2013, 03.32 Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has informed that the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) vide order dated August 29, 2013 sanctioned the Modified Draft Rehabilitation Scheme envisaged merger of Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels Limited (BHPV) with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)

3. BHEL - Outcome of AGM Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has informed BSE that the 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company. The company has passed the ordinary resolution regarding the declaration of final dividend at Rs 3.29 per share. The final dividend will be paid / dispatched on 04.10.2013.
