PERI SKYDECK The proven aluminium slab formwork system for sensationally fast formwork erection

SKYDECKs main beam reduces the number of props You only need 0.29 props per square meter of slab. This corresponds to a grid rectangle of 2.30 x 1.50 m (3.45 m2) supported by just one prop. Fewer props save time and leave more space. Formwork materials can be transported across the site, or building materials such as bricks easily stored between these widely spaced props ready for subsequent use. SKYDECK has a drophead that allows you to strike after only 1 day (depending on the depth of the slab and concrete strength). This allows you to reduce formwork stock levels on site, since the beams and panels are than available for the next concreting cycle. Striking after a short time means striking and cleaning is also much easier, since the panels separate from the concrete effortlessly. The drophead principle enables you to work more flexibly, for instance by striking early during poor weather, or when you have labour free.

The large prop spacing of 1.50 x 2.30 m means time saving and more space for moving materials.

Erected

The panels and cover strips form the soffit of the concrete.

Drophead lowered 60 mm

The cover strips and dropheads remain while the panels and beams are struck.

SKYDECK minimises cleaning costs The SKYDECK panels and main beams have self-draining edges, and the edges of the panels are undercut. This keeps the side surfaces clean and reduces cleaning to a minimum. The SKYDECK main beam with powder coating and plastic rack is designed to minimise cleaning, and is therefore an important factor in the speed achieved with this system.

The main beam lies protected under the panels. This reduces cleaning.

SKYDECK components are made of aluminium to make them very light. No part weighs more than 15 kg. Thanks to the low individual weights PERI SKYDECK enables easy and tireless erection and striking.

SKYDECK has manageable parts. The largest part measures only 1500 x 750 x 120 mm. This allows optimum transport between the rows of props and through door and window openings.

Working with SKYDECK means easy and tireless erection and striking the whole day.

The cost-effective slab formwork with many advantages for the user

SKYDECK forms slab thicknesses of up to 950 mm. See design tables.

The outward projecting teeth "catch" the panels. The panels clip in and lie securely in the rack. The SKYDECK system provides working safety during erection.
3.45 m2 are erected with one standard field. Using main beam SLT 225 means only 0.29 props per m2.

SKYDECK panels positioned from above.

1,50 m

2,30 m

SKYDECK offers a systematic erection sequence and safety features that rule out erection errors. Handling is quickly mastered, even by personnel unfamiliar with this system.

SKYDECK systematization means you no longer have to set out props don't have to determine primary and secondary beam spacings do not have to take account of the load capacity of the formlining

The panels are secured automatically by the lugs on the main beam.

The main beam is mounted rigidly on the drophead or prophead and cannot tilt.

Mounting SKYDECK head The SKYDECK drophead and prophead are fitted with the new type of self-locking coupling. This allows you to mount the head without laborious bolting or pinning and wedging. Simply place it and allow it to engage thats all there is to it! The head is now securely mounted. Removal is simply a matter of releasing the coupling and taking the head off. Self-locking coupling = time saving.

SKYDECK speeds up formwork to reduce your costs. SKYDECK provides: Main beams that save on props Drophead principle ECC powder coating self-draining edges, plastic profiles Individual components made of alum. and weighing less than 15 kg Straight formwork line Structurally optimised system Systematic erection sequence New type of self-locking coupling Benefit to you: Fewer props Earlier, easier striking Less cleaning Easy erection and striking without fatigue Simple perimeter adjustment Very accurate surfaces Operating errors ruled out Quick mounting on the prop without screws or bolts.
Works with all standard props. Diameter of hole 40 mm.

Formwork with drophead

Gives you the advantage of rapid concreting cycles with small stock of equipment. The drophead principle allows striking after 1 day, depending on slab depth and concrete strength. Striking is easier, since the panels release from the concrete more readily after a shorter time. The possibility of striking after a shorter time allows you to work more flexibly (eg during bad weather or when personnel have free capacity). The main beam cuts the number of props. You only need 1 prop for a 2.30 x 1.50 = 3.45 m2 bay. This corresponds to 0.29 props per square meter of slab.

SKYDECK standard grid panel with drophead system

Typical application with wall return, angled wall junction and column to be formed.

B 6

Cross section A-A The design principle with the panels lying on top of the main beam makes the wall junction possible as the main beam can be set back, along the panel.

Longitudinal section B-B Wall junction with prophead set back. The prophead is held on the beam automatically.

drophead

prophead

drophead

An important advantage in application: The extended length of the prop remains the same, irrespective of whether you are working with drophead or the prophead drawn back at the wall junction. Striking with drophead The drophead is released with a hammer blow, causing all of the formwork to drop 60 mm. Panels and main beams can then be taken off. The drophead props with cover strips remain in the grid rectangle. Props in the edge or infill areas can be removed. You will therefore only need about 70% extra drophead props for your new cycle.

SKYDECK infills

Longitudinal infilling For infilling up to 1.50 m, formwork is simply continued with panels and prophead until the gap left can be closed with filler timbers.

Infilling lengths: 2.25 m with main beam SLT 150 and appropriate infill 1.50 m with 1 panel 750 mm wide and appropriate infill 750 mm panel with appropriate infill or with infill panel 375 mm wide and appropriate infill (see SKYDECK Poster for detailed infilling)

Transverse infilling Transverse infilling or adaptation for angled walls is carried out in the same way as longitudinal infilling, using panels and prophead until the gap left can be closed with a filler plate. The panels can be turned in the other direction to achieve this.

Edge beams turned sideways can be used for formwork around columns.

Formwork is taken around columns with a maximum edge length of 1.38 m in this way. When the edge beam SRT-2 75 is being used the maximum edge length is 630 mm.

Detailed solutions with system components The SKYDECK Platform on the edge of the building saves a safety scaffold

Edge of slab with safety handrail system Slab edges are formed with the cantilevered SLT 375 slab edge beam and the SKYDECK Platform.

The SKYDECK platform saves construction time. Even 1 day after concreting it serves as a safety scaffold for work on the columns and breast walls (parapets).

Even the logistics have been rationalised

Formwork erection will be even faster if there is order on site and as few crane lifts as possible.

Pallet lifting truck Item no.: 061510

The SKYDECK pallet can be shifted with the crane or moved with a pallet truck. The pallet is equally suitable for forklift trucks when dispatching, or in the builder's yard. All SKYDECK pallets are hot-dip galvanised and can be stacked.

Large SKYDECK pallet with 48 panels 150 x 75 = 54 m2 of formwork surface

SKYDECK Pallet SD filled with 14 panels 150 x 75 = 15.75 m2 of formwork surface. RP 80 x 120 filled with 25 MULTIPROP Props corresponding to 86 m2 of formwork surface.

The necessary concrete strength at the time of striking is important. This can be calculated by suitable methods. Account must also be taken of DIN 1045, e.g. curing. At least 1.31 cm2/m(Q 131) is necessary as lower reinforcement. For systems without centre support of the main girders.
