SAM EXECUTIVE TEAM 2014-2015

These are rough guidelines of the responsibilities of each position. Responsibilities are subject to change.

1. Vice President (1) a. Administrations: all paperwork i. Ex MSU Club Application, Office/locker application, Clubsfest requests b. Apply for awards + grants i. USIF ii. Special Projects Funding iii. MSU Club Awards iv. MSU Awards (ie Spirit Award) c. Bookkeeping Prepare receipts and balance sheets for President to sign off d. Book MUSC Table times & meeting rooms e. Manage SAM email account f. Take meeting minutes 2. Public Relations Director (1) a. Manage social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram b. Search and manage relationships with external parties (ex donors and sponsors) c. Collect gift sponsors for raffle prizes for fashion show d. Prepare Marketing Sponsorship Application e. Aid Vice-President in completion of award and grant applications 3. Videographer (1) a. Design videos to promote the clubs initiatives i. Fashion show promotion videos 1. Photoshoot 2. Interviews 3. Rehearsals ii. Meet the exec team video b. Record the fashion show and create a summary video afterwards c. Publish videos on YouTube d. Handle Youtube account 4. Creative Director Assistant (1) a. Assist Creative Director in projects throughout the school year i. Design posters and other forms of visual media to advertise our events to students around campus

ii. Responsible for print media such as obtaining approvals from the MSU, and then posting them (or giving them to Poster Monkey to post) b. Decorating visual elements of the fashion show 5. Clothing Director (2) a. Recruit clothing sponsors to showcase at the show b. Pick up and return the clothing to the store before and after the show c. Ensure all clothing is in original condition d. Record all clothing pieces in spreadsheet and assign outfits to models (if needed) e. Day of fashion show: Handle all clothing pieces in change rooms f. Having a car would be beneficial, but not necessary if clothing stores are nearby g. Assist in planning process of the fashion show including choreography and rehearsals 6. Model Coordinator (2) a. Lead interviews for models in November b. Select modelling team c. Host rehearsals (must attend and lead all rehearsals alongside President, to be held in term 2 at 10 PM on weekdays) d. Plan choreography for each fashion line) e. Assist in planning process of the fashion show f. Day of the show: i. Ensure all models in next segment are present and prepared to walk on stage ii. Usher models from changeroom to backstage 7. Stage and Music Director (1) a. Edit (mainly loop) music for fashion show b. Create playlist for before the show and during intermission c. Acting as DJ of the show d. Assist in planning process of the fashion show including choreography and rehearsals e. Assist Executive Director in booking of venue f. Communicate with Avtek Events Administrator of MUSC in regards to venue details (if necessary) 8. Talent Director (1) a. Look for musicians/ dancers /talents to perform for the show b. Host auditions for potential talent performers c. Maintain communication with talent performers prior to fashion show d. Assist in planning process of the fashion show including choreography 9. Blog Director (1)

Organize and manage team of photographers and bloggers Ensure quality of posts on the blog (grammar and format editing) Ensure posts are consistent and frequent Train all photographers and bloggers so that they can be self-sustaining by late October

10. Campus photographers (3) a. Capture 3-4 outfit of the day shots of students on campus per week b. A quick interview with a fun question related to fashion AND McMaster c. Post blog entry with students photo and interview answers d. Must own a DSLR camera (experienced with photography) e. Conduct interviews with local vendors 11. Trend blogger (1) a. Post fashion blog entries such as (but not limited to) fashion trends and fashion show b. Be able to write about creative elements of preparing outfits c. Informal blog posts d. Conduct interviews with local vendors
