SP 2000 Series

AT Patrol Series 2000 is the new Point ID

perimeter intrusion detection system for the protection of soft metal fences and semi-rigid panels. Designed and developed by SAT Patrol LAB Security, Series 2000 are evolution of sensitive boxes system which has been successfully employed for over 5 years in protecting thousands of kilometers of fencing in very strategic fields such as government, military, oil & gas, airports and seaports. As sensitive boxes system, Series 2000 deploys piezodynamic sensors which detect cut, climb and breakthrough attempts in a very effective way. As a matter of fact, the piezodynamic technology, designed and patented by SAT Patrol Security, offers superior probability of detection (POD) and very low nuisance alarm rate (NAR); this means very high tolerance towards environmental nuisances such as adverse weather conditions (heavy rain and strong wind), climbing vegetation and man-made factors (nearby heavy traffic roads and railways). Sensitive boxes system allows you to precisely locate the point under alarm: each sensor is individually identified and integrates a sophisticated analysis unit which independently processes the signals detected and then sends the different alarm reports to a centralized control unit which can manage up to 500 detectors. The state-of-the-art technology developed for sensitive boxes system makes the latter one of the most reliable PIDS currently on the market.

Point ID: Each SAT Patrol sensor is individually identified to allow you to precisely locate the point under alarm: an alarm zone (logical line) can be also composed of a single sensor. Up to 500 sensors: managed on 2 communication buses to protect a perimeter up to 1500 meters with a single control unit (if the sensors are installed every 3 meters). This feature remarkably simplifies the wiring infrastructure, especially in big sites.

Self-test and self-diagnosis: A selftest function is implemented in each sensor and checks the status of both the electronic part and the piezodynamic transducer. Selfdiagnosis functions are performed by the control unit that continuously monitors the bus and the sensor operating parameters: this allows you to discriminate possible degrading factors before a failure may occur.

Anti-removal electronic device: It detects the removal of the SAT Patrol sensor from the fence. During the installation phase, it signals, via software, the wrong fixing of the sensor.

Magnetic and thermal tamper device: It identifies and signals the attempts of tampering the sensor by exposing it to electromagnetic fields or extreme temperatures. Simple and quick installation: SAT Patrol sensitive sensors boxes are provided in prewired strings for an easy and quick installation. Sensor automatic identification and sorting: Upon the first configuration of the system, the control unit automatically identifies all the sensors that are linked to the bus and, using an algorithm patented by SAT, sorts them according to their physical location (from closest to furthest). Distribution on logical lines. The control unit automatically distributes the sensors on 64 alarm logical lines. After that, it is possible to manually modify the length of each logical line to adapt it to the configuration of the perimeter.

Calibration and configuration per single unit or per logical line: Each SAT Patrol sensor can be calibrated and configured together with the others of the same line or individually to obtain the best calibration even on heterogeneous fence panels. During the individual calibration, the real time analog signal is available on the service software (3D chart).

Capability of managing signals from 3rd party devices, such as infrared or microwave barriers, by means of a special interface module. The module can be placed anywhere along the bus.

Comprehensive signal analysis. For each sensor it is possible to discriminate the following signals: cut, climb, breakthrough, sporadic cut, removal attempt, thermal tamper, link quality, self-diagnosis, absorption and temperature.
