PTO NEWS The classroom with the highest bid from the silent auction was Mrs. Toomeys first grade class. Their Horse Crazy basket went for $60! The PTO will be providing their class with cupcakes this Friday. Thanks to everyone who donated and/or purchased items at the silent auction, we raised over $2,200!!

Are you looking for a summer school opportunity for your child? GRASP is an academic correspondence program in reading and mathematics for grades K-8. It is a cost-efficient substitute for traditional summer school. The program helps students retain skills learned during the school year. We are offering this program to Beagle students. Over the summer, your child completes materials and sends them in for scoring. The lessons should take your child approximately one hour per week to complete each weekly lesson. ! Return forms and fees by April 14, 2014 ! All materials will be sent home with the child the last week of school.

MUD AND WATER EVERWHERE!! Yes, the warmer weather is nice; the muddy and wet playground is not so much.

I can read in red. I can read in blue. I can read in pickle color too. I can read in bed. And in purple and in brown. I can read in a circle and upside down! I can read with my left eye. I can read with my right. I can read Mississippi with my eyes shut tight! There are so many things you can learn about. Butyou'll miss the best things If you keep your eyes shut. The more that you read, the more things you will know The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. If you read with your eyes shut you're likely to find That the place where you're going is far, far behind SOthat's why I tell you to keep your eyes wide. Keep them wide openat least on one side.
