GBP LOGO INSPECTION REPORT

1. Problem statement: - After the GBP logo improvement had been done on WW30 and had been used for 3 weeks, the light of I dot did not light. Swat team came immediately to verify the root cause on WW33.3 2. Inspection finding report - I dot tube and upper arc tubes are old tubes which were not replaced on WW30 ( refer GBP scope of work) - I dot tube is not lighted and upper arc is blurry than other positions (referred picture as below)

I dot is not lighted

Upper arc dot is dark

- The I dots power is provided by one ballast which is also providing the power to haft of lower arc 3. Immediately actions were taken: - Switched I dot ballast to provide power for the tubes at bottom of lower arc. The tubes are working as normal - Connected I dot tubes cable to another existing ballast. The I dot still did not work - Double checked with supplier who was the first supplier installed the GBP logo. We need to double check the tube condition. The darken problem was reported which is causing by mica to limit the light - Conclusion: o Through two activities above, we concluded that the I dot was broken 4. Solutions: We suggest 3 solutions as follows: Solution 1: Changing new neon sign lamps of I dot the same as the existing type of lamp (still require high voltage 15kV for Neon sign to work). Re-seal off the covers by using the silicon. The cost is 2.5 mil VND plus scaffold cost to access at approximately 6.5mil (need to confirm) The concept will not have any warranty assurance of reliability Solution 2: Replacing new neon sign lamps of I dot and all tubes of upper arc the same as the existing type of lamp. Also replace the particular damaged decal and mica. Then, re-seal off the covers by using the silicon. Re-arrange the electrical terminals supplying power to neon sign when installing new tube for upper arc; thus, it prevent the electrical circuit to be submerged under water level even in the case water is accumulated inside the cover due to slow draining. Before reassembling the plastic cover, all covers will be applied the water test from the inside to prevent any possibility of water penetration. The cost is around 21 mil VND plus scaffold cost to access at approximately 11mil (need to confirm). The concept will not have any warranty assurance of reliability Solution 3: Changing all new neon sign lamps (not including new tubes were replaced on WW30) the same as existing type of lamp (still require high voltage 15kV for Neon sign to work). Also replace the particular damaged decal and mica. Re-seal off the covers by using the silicon. By replacing the neon sign, it is allowed to rearrange the lamps heads to ensure a better separation distance which help to

reduce the risk of electrical arcing due to high voltage operation. Besides, with the new neon sign arrangement, it is allowed to lift up the electrical terminals supplying power to neon sign for those currently locating at the bottom of the cover; thus, it prevent the electrical circuit to be submerged under water level even in the case water is accumulated inside the cover due to slow draining. Before reassemble the plastic cover, all cover will be applied the water test from the inside to prevent any possibility of water penetration. The cost this option is 119 mil VND plus scaffold cost to access at approximately 11mil (need to confirm). The concept will have one year warranty of workmanship and materials (Package warranty labor and material including access requirements)

5. Solutions Comparison Table:

Solutions
Solution 3: Replace only busted dot of letter I of intel LOGO 1. 2.

Pros
Lowest investment cost for tube replacement Installation need only one to two days to complete repair

Cons
1. Existing old tubes will retained however tubes can be busted any time. Average recorded failure is 1 year. 2. Damaged mica and decal will not be changed. 3. Requires scaffold installation every time tube is busted 4. Risk of tube igniter arcing is high and posted safety risk will not be addressed. 5. Upper arc darken illumination will not be corrected. 6. No warranty coverage for labor and services 1. Requires high cost for scaffold rental 2. Existing old tubes will retained however tubes can be busted any time. 3. Not fully improvement in arranging heads tube to prevent the arcing due to high voltage operating condition 4. Requires scaffold installation every time tube is busted 5. Risk of tube igniter arcing is high and posted safety risk will not be addressed 6. Lead time to import 3M decal is long. Supplier cannot provide. It will be supplied by ourselves 1. Due to high voltage requirement for normal operation of this type of neon sign. It still remain some risks of arcing over -> still have risk of being flammable. 2. Due to high voltage operation, there is high leak current as the environment inside is ionized under the high voltage. It is difficult to apply more sensitive circuit protection for the logo light. 3. High voltage ballast requires high frequency of replacement due to overheated (high power consumption) high cost of replacement, more lighting interruptions. 4. Lead time to import 3M decal is long. Supplier cannot provide. It will be supplied by ourselves 5. Require an investment to replace the entire existing neon signs.

Cost
2.5 mil VND + 6.5 mil VND scaffold services 1.

Execution Period
Execution can be started any time after receiving the PO. Working time is 2 days None warranty team will be applied

2.

Solution 2: Proposed to replace new neon sign lamps of I dot and all tubes of upper arc as the same as existing type of lam

Solution 3: Replace 100% new lamps and ballast as the same type of neon sign as the existing one ( excluded the new ones were just replaced on WW30)

1. Low cost low investment is required from owner side 2. Little improvement on the neon signs at upper arc and I dot which can be increased the distance between lamps heads to prevent arcing and lift up all electrical terminals to prevent being submerged under water. 3. Darken of upper arc may be removed 4. Test the integrity of plastic cover to prevent water penetration to neon circuit inside. 1. All lamps sign will be removed (excluded the new one were just replaced on WW30) no need to open neon light in near future for lamp replacement (reduce cost of scaffold installation). 2. Increase the distance between lamps heads to prevent arcing due to high voltage operating condition. 3. Lift up all electrical terminals to prevent submerging the circuit under water in case water is accumulated inside the cover. 4. Test the integrity of plastic cover to prevent water penetration to neon circuit inside.

21mil VND + 11 mil VND
