No panic 2.Keep mind cool 3.Lack of communication and chaos. Questions: 1. What was your first priority ,such as to safe guard citizens or catch the shooters? Ans:Citizen Security as our first priority, as we did not have the information of the shooters,who were they and how many were there.So it was better to rescue all the citizens and passengers. It was little difficult of the time the firing started ,it was the period when the duty was changed and night shift were about to take the duty.So we had less amount of force present. 2.How did you co-ordinated with other departments? Ans:As we did not have the information whether it was a terrorist attack or some thing other. The RPF , who had the duty of 6 hours , from 8-2 were asked to take action on the attack. Our next police station were informed about the situation and the other railway stations that is

dadar.Headquarter was informed about the attack and the remaining action were taken by the head commissioner. 3. Do the police have training for such a situation, and what steps did you take? Ans : We did not have any training before but now we are provided with the SLR and arms. CST police station have 4 stations under it and each is given a rifile SLR. 4.What were the support provided to you? Ans. We were provided with bullet proof jackets. Now we have a car which is ready for all time for attack which is now a bullet proof and a well equipped , even the windows of the car our bulletproof. At the time of the attack ,the arms were in the next building. So it was not possible for me to take a quick action with armories to directly attack them. 5.If such a situation occurs , what will be the turnaround time to take action. Ans. Less than 30 minutes, Commisioner has now given the SOPS(standard operating procedures) to all the police stations . All the police are now trained by the mock drill. So if in the future this crucial situations happen we will be ready to face it and will get them all down. Advice for corporate from the situation by relating it- If any situation of crises occurs in your job firstly dont panic , keep your mind cool so as we can deal with the situation. In such a situation always keep a good and clear communication and dont let chaos happen. A you know our constable A Kumble took a initiative and was successful to catch a terrorist Ajmal Kasab.So you all should take iniatiative then success will be on your way. All our police force let it be of any cast work together for security of people. 6. What are the actions of awareness for the people taken by people? Ans.We distribute pamphlets to all the citizens , dont let the crime happen immediately inform the police.We also use a medium of SMS ,which is passed to all the network and is aware through it.
