Aveng Moolmans has been awarded the contract to be the replacement Open-Cut Mining Contractor for Nkomati Nickel Mine, effective from 01 September 2014, but with intent to commence on the earlier date of 01 May 2014. Accordingly, limited vacancies exist for the salaried / wage-based positions listed hereunder. Aveng Moolmans is one of the largest open-cut mining contractors in Africa and offers a complete open-cut mining service with over 40 years experience in both hard and soft rock environments. In addition to its drill, blast, load and dump capabilities, Aveng Moolmans is well placed to provide mine planning, survey, production scheduling and grade control expertise. POSITIONS: LOCATION: JOB GRADE: As described in the attached list Nkomati Nickel Mine As per SAFCEC Agreement for Wage-Based positions and consistent with Aveng Moolmans Job Grades for Salaried positions REPORTING TO: Direct Supervisor / Manager _____________________________________________________________________ KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and standards are adhered to for the specific job. Meeting and maintaining performance outputs and other Key Performance Indicator criteria specific to each job. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: As required by each specific wage-based / salaried position. Equipment operators require a valid South African drivers license in addition to the requisite academic qualifications. INFORMATION REQUIRED: Details of the position applied for, previous working experience, a comprehensive CV, certified copies of your qualifications, a copy of your last 2 payslips and, where applicable, copies of drivers licences are to be provided by each applicant. MEDICAL FITNESS: Each potential employee will undergo the medical tests prescribed by the mine and must meet the minimum prescribed requirements before any formal contract of employment is concluded.
