Cause distress, misery, and disease - gives immediate pleasure to senses - for material benefit, for pride

Inability of sense to disentangle from objects, unhealthy condition of organs, perplexity in mind. - sleep with dreaming - material desire, great endeavour, audacity, dissatisfaction even in gain, false pride, praying for material advancement, wants things better than others, sense gratification, eager to fight, like hearing praise, ridicule others, proud of prowess, justifying actions by strength

- is regulated, performed without attachment, without love or hatred or desire for future results - as offering to hold without consideration of fruit - performs duty without association of modes/false ego, with determination, enthusiasm, not wavering in success or failure - free of attachment - knows what ought to be done or not, feared & not, what is binding or liberating - unbreakable, sustained with yoga practice, controls mind, life and senses - beginning like poison, end like nectar & awakens one to self-realisation - derived from self - in the forest - person becomes endowed with happiness, - virtue, knowledge other good qualities - senses detached from matter, experiences fearlessness in material body + detachment from mind - alert wakefulness - mind +sense control, tolerance, discrimination, sticking to one's prescribed duty, truthfulness, mercy, generosity, renunciation of sense gratification, embarrassed of improper actions, charity, simplicity, humility, self satisfaction
