Switchgear and busbar trunking for safe and reliable power distribution
Long regarded as a leading supplier of components for low voltage switchgear, automation and power distribution, Moeller Electric Ltd is rapidly developing a reputation for its intelligent motor control and switchgear systems capability. By bringing the Barduct brand busbar products into the organisation, Moeller are increasingly able to offer single sourced automation and power distribution solutions from MV (11kV) to final distribution and control. Moellers dedicated systems sales team specialising in busbar and switchgear work in partnership with clients to ensure that our services and equipment meet their needs right from design, through manufacture in our two ISO accredited manufacturing facilities in Aylesbury, to delivery and final commissioning. Moeller switchgear provides safety and reliability in electrical switching systems from the small building distribution board to the modular power distribution and motor control system up to 6300 amps. The integration of intelligence and communication capability into the devices enables them to be directly connected to Profibus. The combination of our highly flexible power distribution switchboards, motor control centres and unique KeyBuild facility enables us to satisfy a wide spectrum of applications, from building services to process control to highly specified petro-chemical installations. Moellers market leading range of busbar trunking systems extends from 25 to 6000 amps, covering applications from lighting trunking through to heavy current engineered systems, developed to provide specifiers with a wide choice of technical characteristics, at a competitive price. Moellers flexible approach to contract management ensures that client needs are met with the highest levels of service and consistency, assured by ISO 9001 accreditation. Lead times, drawing approval procedures, and customer witness programmes can all be integrated into our contract schedules. Backed up with thorough project management, onsite installation, commissioning and training, Moeller offers a complete package from inception to completion. As a responsible designer, manufacturer and supplier of low-voltage systems, Moeller continues to influence the formation of both national, European and international standards for the industry, through active membership and participation within EIEMA (Electrical Installation Equipment Manufacturers Association).

As a fully Type Tested Assembly (TTA) to IEC/EN 60439 BS EN 60439-1 IEC 439-1, PCC4000 provides flexible power distribution solutions. Not only do the busbar trunking entries make installation easier, but they are also part of the Type Tested Assembly. The system offers separation up to Form 4, Type 2, 5, and 6. The main busbars within the switchboard are made from hard drawn copper and offer safe operation under fault conditions up to 80kA for 1 second. They come with a fully rated neutral (with the option of a double neutral for 3200A), making them suitable for IT installations and locations with high harmonic system levels.
