Learning Standard : 2.1.1 Able to recognise and articulate initial, medial and the final sounds in single syllable words within given context: /or/ & /ur/ 2.1.2 Able to blend phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud. 2.1.3 Able to segment words into phonemes to spell. Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to : (a) recognize and articulate the sounds correctly. (b) blending the words and read them aloud. (c) segment the words into phonemes to spell. Activities : 1. Teacher reads about Burt and His Horse together with pupils. 2. Teacher paste the sound card on board. /or/ /ur/ 3. Teacher says the /or/ and /ur/ sound and pupils repeat after teacher. 4. Teacher paste the word cards and asks pupils to articulate the sounds in the word cards shown. 5.
