THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

I want to say thanks to all the men who participated in the Heath Church of Christ annual Bean Dinner. It certainly was a great night of fellowship. I hope you will consider returning next year and bring a friend with you so we can bring home the bacon. FYIThis year, our schedule for Easter Sunday will be 7:30(breakfast) 8:45 (Bible School) and 10:00 Worship. Easter this year falls on April 20th. We hope you will make plans to worship here and bring a friend with you. April 5-If you are looking for an opportunity for community service, then I want to invite you to travel with me to the SE Ohio Food Bank in Logan, Ohio. We will work in the morning from 9:00-12:00. That means we will leave the church by 8:15 a.m. If you want to go, talk with me or sign-up on the bulletin board in the coat room by March 30th. I am looking forward with great anticipation about the traveling Prayer Wall coming to Fifth Avenue on May 18th. This 27 paneled wall will be a visual reminder to us about the call God has placed on our lives to become Unleashed for the Unreached. Let me just remind our Prayer Wall Committee that our next meeting will be at 6 p.m. on March 31st in room 214. A PERSONAL NOTE: Sue and I are now back in Lancaster and we do appreciate the sunny weather you ordered, I am sure, just for us. We hope to get settled into our old routines very shortly. Thanks to each of you who have prayed for Stephanie and for our safe travels. SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY: This week (3/23), I am returning to the Sunday evening service. Our study, this week, is The Reluctant Prophet: Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1). In coming weeks we will be examining the prophetic ministries of Ezekiel, Jonah, Zechariah and Malachi. Im looking forward to seeing all of you at the 6:00 pm service. MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDIES: On Wednesday, April 2, we will be resuming our midweek Bible studies. We will not be returning to the study that was disrupted in November but will begin a new series on I Timothy. This will be one of my typical verse/chapter studies, with study questions. Why not join us for the 10 am or 6:30 pm sessions? SENIOR EVENT: Watch this space for an announcement regarding a planned activity in April. I continue reminding all of our seniors of the great Senior Saints In The Smokies program coming May 26-30, 2014. This grand gathering is held on the Johnson University (formerly Johnson Bible College) campus and is recommended for those 55 and up. (I have been attending for over 20 years.) We, already, have 8 committed to attending and I have mailed the first 4 reservations! Registration forms are available. If you need forms or have questions, contact me. If you, already, have registration forms, I will be happy to mail them for you. (We do use our vans for travel.) FINAL THOUGHT: I want to ask, once again; if Sunday is the Lords day, do we demonstrate, by our lives, that we consider only 1 or 2 hours constitute His day?

MAYWOOD MISSION FOOD PANTRY

Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member. If you would like to take a Curious class, please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card.

Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
