PREAMBULE
L'implication croissante de nos forces dans des oprations internationales a mis en lumire la ncessit de pouvoir disposer d'un outil simple et pratique permettant chacun de se faire comprendre en langue anglaise, dans un certain nombre de cas particuliers limits. Le prsent vade-mecum est destin rpondre en partie ce besoin. Il se propose de fournir aux cadres, officiers, sous-officiers ou grads. ne possdant pas une culture anglaise approfondie, des expressions usuelles le plus couramment employes dans (les missions de type O.N.U. Le format et le papier utiliss en font un document pratique, en tout temps disponible. Les chapitres 1 et IV s'adressent essentiellement aux commandants d'unit. chefs de section ou de dtachement. Le chapitre Il propose des expressions utilises dans des missions particulires ; il prsente dans lu premire colonne l'expression franaise, dans la deuxime sa traduction en anglais, enfin la troisime colonne prsente une transcription phontique qui, pour ne pas tre traditionnelle, permet nanmoins chacun de se faire comprendre. Les suggestions de tous permettront l'E.A.I. rgulirement une mise jour de ce document de procder
