MASTER BOND MASTERSIL 800

One Component, Room Temperature Curing, Silicone Elastomer System for
High Performance Bonding and Sealing; Featuring Flowable, Non-Corrosive Cure
and Serviceability Up to 300C; Unsurpassed Stabili ty at Elevated Temperatures.
MasterSil 800 is an easy to use, one component, high performance silicone elastomer compound for
bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place gaskets. This specialty system features ultra high
temperature resistance and non-corrosive cure, making it highly desirable for many applications,
especially those pertaining to electronics and aerospace. MasterSil 800 is self leveling and bonds well to a
wide variety of substrates, including glass, metals and many plastics. The rapidity of the cure depends on
the thickness of the layer and the humidity; the thicker the layer the slower the cure. It is extremely soft
with superb flexibility and elasticity and outstanding electrical insulation properties. MasterSil 800 is
serviceable over the exceptionally broad temperature range of -75F to +572F (300C). What is truly
remarkable about the higher temperature range is that unlike other temperature resistant silicones (e.g.
red silicones), MasterSil 800 will not depolymerize when exposed to 300C and high pressure. In a sens e,
it can be considered a second generation high temperature resistant RTV. MasterSil 800 has a moderate
viscosity, but is still flowable and is black in color.

Handling and Storage

All silicones should be used with good ventilation and skin contact should be avoided. For safe
handling details, please consult the product MSDS. Optimum storage is at or below 75F in closed
containers. No special storage conditions are necessary. Containers should, however, be kept closed
when not in use to avoid contamination. Cleanup of spills and equipment is readily achieved with aromatic
or ketone solvents employing proper precautions of ventilation and flammability.

Not to be used for specification purposes.
