Male Female Total

The table 1 shows the gender distribution of the respondents in the control and experimental group. It shows here that in the control group 55% are female, while 45% are male. In the experimental group 40% are male, and 60% are female. To sum it up the fender distribution of the respondents are 47.5% are male, and 52.50% are female. It means that most of the respondents are female in both control and experimental group.

12 years old 11 years old Total

The table 2 shows the age distribution of the respondents. It shows here that in the control group 85% are 12 years old, and 15% are 11 years old. In the experimental group 82.5% are 12 years old, and 17.5% are 11 years old. Over all 83.7% are 12 years old and 16.3% are 11 years old, this would mean that most of the respondents are 12 years old.

Very poor Poor Average Total

Table 3 shows the economic status of the respondents. For the control group 45% belongs to very poor, 47.5% belongs to poor, and 7.5% belongs to average. For the experimental group 17.5% belongs to very poor, 60% belongs to poor, and 22.5% belongs to average. This entails that most of the respondents belongs to poor category in their economic status.

Table 4.2. shows that the experimental group belonged to the fair category of grades during first grading and showed a big improvement during second grading when text2teach is being used by the teacher in science class. This would mean that text2teach is an effective teaching aid material in the classroom.

The table 5 have shown that the respondents under the experimental group got the excellent mean result compared to the control group who only got the above average mean in the post test of the science subject. It simply mean that there is a significant difference in the academic performance between the experimental and the control group, and this would only mean that text2teach is an effective tool of a teacher in teaching science.
