Does consciousness creates our reality?

Is reality an illusion that we create with our minds? Our existence and everything we experience is dependent upon our consciousness. But what is consciousness? Does consciousness creates the material world? The biggest mystery that has baffled scientists, philosophers, mathematicians, researchers is the mystery of the existence of mankind. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where do we go when we die? What is our true nature? Before we answer these questions, its important to note that reality is not simply made of tiny physical pieces. When we look closely, the true nature of our reality is revealed to us. Looking closer than molecules and atoms (molecules are made out of atoms, and atoms are made out of subatomic particles such as protons and electrons which occupy 0.00001% of empty space) we enter the realm of quantum reality. Electrons and protons are made out of quarks, which then are a part of a superstring field of some kind which consists of vibrating strings of energy At this level of reality, there is no matter. What we think of tiny particles, are actually not material at all but waves of potential, the waves of potential outcome of reality. Only when observed, the wave collapse into one perceived outcome and is seen again as a particle. Without an observer, it would remain physically un-manifested. This is known as the observer effect and completely shakes what we assume to be true about the physical world. This phenomenon was verified in what is known as the double-slit experiment, where the presence of a conscious observer changed the behavior of an electron from a wave state to a particle state. To understand this experiment, first we all need to see how small objects of matter behave if we randomly shoot small objects, say marbles, at screen with one slit (opening). We see a pattern made on the back wall where they go through the slit and hit. Now, if we add a second slit, we are expected to see a second band duplicated alongside as shown in the figure below.

This experiment is done with waves (light or water). The waves hit the slit, radiate out and strike the back wall with most intensity directly in line with the slit. The line of brightness shows the intensity which is similar to the lines that the marbles had made. But when we add the second slit, something different happens. If the top of one wave meet the bottom of another wave, they cancel each other out. We have an interference pattern on the back wall, places where the two tops meet are the highest intensity bright lines and where they cancel there is nothing. We can now conclude that when we throw matter through two slits, we get two bands on the back wall and when we pass waves, we get bands of an interference pattern.

Now, this experiment is repeated with quantum objects. An electron is a very tiny bit of matter just like a marble or matter particle. We fire a stream of electron through a single sit. It behaves

just like a marble and creates a single band. Now, as expected, if we fire a stream of electron through double slits it should produce double bands as in case with marbles but what the researchers have got is something far beyond interpretation. They got an interference pattern!!!!! When they went quantum, particles behaved like waves. The question that troubled all quantum physicists around the world is that how pieces of matter could have created interference pattern as waves. Many researchers reason out that may be these tiny pieces of matter bounced off each other and had created an interference pattern. So they decided to shoot electrons one at a time so that there will not be any wave of electrons that can interfere with each other. But as they proceeded with their experiment, the same interference pattern emerged. The conclusion became incomprehensible!!!! The single electron leaves as a particle, becomes a wave of potential, goes through both slits and interferes with itself to hit the wall like a particle. The researchers were completely baffled by this observation. So, they decided to look into this matter and see through which slit the electrons actually passed. They put a measuring device by one slit for the observations. But the quantum world is far more mysterious than what they could have ever imagined. When they observed, electrons went back behaving like a marble. It formed the pattern of two bands, not an interference pattern of many. The very act of measuring or observing which slit it went through, it passed through only one not both. The electrons decided to act differently as if it was aware being watched. The measurement system used to detect the activity of the particle affected the behavior of the electron. What is matter? Marbles or waves and waves of what? And what does an observer has to do with it? The observer collapsed the wave function simply by observing. Researcher Scientist Dr. Dean Radin concluded in his experiments that he published in his paper Consciousness and the double-slit interference pattern: Six experiments (Source: http://media.noetic.org/uploads/files/PhysicsEssays-Radin-DoubleSlit-2012.pdf), We compel the electron to assume a definite position. We ourselves produce the results of the measurement. Results from this experiment have led researchers to conclude that without consciousness, the universe would exist indeterminately as a sea of quantum potentiality. Without consciousness,

there is no physical matter. This is known as the Participatory Anthropic Principle, and was first proposed by physicist Dr. John Wheeler. This experiment provides understanding on how we understand our connections with the external world, and the kind of relationship we can have with the universe. We create our reality is used to refer to the fact that our thoughts create the perspective we have of the world, but now I guess we have some insight about how this universe plays. We give rise to the physical universe with our conscious thoughts. Existence of any possible universe, that we can imagine, that does not have conscious observers in, is simply not possible. Consciousness creates the physical world. Our existence and existence of everything we see is dependent on how we are conceptualizing conscious thoughts. This consciousness or our conscious thoughts conceives, construct, governs and becomes the universe. What we experience as images, sensations, thoughts, emotions and feelings are qualities of consciousness. We experience the world from our subjective point of view. We see objects and beings as existing in their own life, separate from us. But this is an illusion. In the end, we are all that one consciousness that is simultaneously all observers, all modes of observations and all objects of observations. Dont you feel how much lucky we are to experience this miracle of life as the universe continues to experience its consciousness through us?
