Ananta Aspen Centre (Formerly Aspen Institute India), a premier organization known globally for fostering values-based leadership, and The Shri Ram School, one of Indias finest private schools, have come together to offer a 2-week residential programme for students of grades 9-12 that aims to build values-based leadership skills and enlighten them to move from thought to action, and from success to significance.The intense yet fun-filled curriculum comprising leadership case studies, adventure sports and experiential learning, takes students through structured modules in a safe & supportive environment, to help uncover the hidden leader within.

THE SHRI RAM ANANTA ASPEN LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

The Leadership Program has the following objectives: Develop an independent view of college life and beyond amongst high-school (or school-leaving) students Grow students emotionally, intellectually and socially through different experiential modes of learning in a safe and supportive environment Build understanding of diversity in people, careers, viewpoints for young students who often stay in a single K-12 school and city all their lives Introduce concepts of leadership impact amongst students which will encourage them to move from thought to action, from success to significance. Create greater sense of awareness about ethics and valuesbased leadership among students with respect to society & business, science & environment. Ensure the high-impact program is a key accomplishment for the students, worthy of mention in their Letter of Recommendation.

Text-based Socratic dialogue: Students will be made to read, reflect and conduct discussions on a series of thought provoking readings around the issues of Leadership, like: (i) The Challenge of Leadership; (ii) The Promise of Leadership; (iii) The Good Society; (iv) The Possibility of Heroism; and (v) The Meaning of Life.

THE PROGRAMME The program a blend of Socratic dialogue, experiential learning, motivational lectures & adventure sportsis a 2-week residential program at a camp site by the Ganges at Rishikesh. Our leadership program is based on Aspen beliefs and enhanced with multiple pedagogies:

Leadership Case Studies: For a practical, foundational and academic understanding of Applied Leadership.

Leadership is a continuous processnon-linear and indiscrete. However, we have broken it down into five steps to make it exciting, engaging and evocative to all senses for young adults Finally, we have built-in personalized counseling and psychometric testing for participants to build their personal leadership approach in a scientific manner We learn how to think about our own thoughts. Its almost like a Psychology lesson, just a lot more fun!
Community Visits: Community visits organized to a government school in a village and an orphanage, to sensitize the students to various social issues, and expose them to an environment where there is a scarcity of basic requirements, inequities and hardships in life.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & SAFETY Accomodation: The selected location will have a spectacular scenic beauty, will be safe and create an inspirational environment for learning. The location is carefully chosen keeping in mind safety and facilitation of activities. Food: Care is taken to provide food that is nutritious, wholesome and tasty. Food will be a combination of vegetarian and nonvegetarian items on menu. Fruits will be served regularly and nimbu-paani or other fruit flavored drinks are available through the day to keep the participants hydrated. There will be mineral water on all sites and locations. Care & Safety: Safety is the foundation on which the whole program stands. Right from the time your child is handed over to us, she/he is our responsibility.We will have a well trained & certified team; the adult to child ratio will be 1:5, for every 25 students there will be 5 faculty members, 3 permanent in addition to administrative staff in camps. Resident doctor will be available for emergencies.
