Requirements and conditions of application for MOH medical technologist/ tech/ paramed. Exams and Evaluation
General conditions
1- Applications only from candidates who graduated from colleges and universities recognized by the ministry of higher education and research of the united Arab emirates will be accepted 2- All applicants with BSc degree and higher degrees must obtain the equivalency of their academic degrees from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of the United Arab Emirates. Those with BSc degree from universities inside U.A.E. do not need to obtain equivalency from the Ministry of Higher Education and research of U.A.E. 3- Applicants with diploma degrees must obtain the equivalency of their high school certificate (obtained from non-Arabic school systems and certificates obtained from private school in UAE) from the Ministry of Education in UAE 4- The certificate of experience must be from a government facility or from a recognized private hospital (experience from private clinics will not be accepted) and should be documented, and stamped with approved seals of the body that issued the certificate, UAE embassy/council in the country that issued the certificate and ministry of foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and according to the assets used in the ministry. The experience period should cover the last three years (older period than three years will not be accepted). 5- The original certificates must be presented signed to be matched with their photocopies. 6- For PhD holders: Clinical experience after obtaining the qualifications less than three years shall not be accepted. The documents needed to be certified and authenticated according to the assets followed in the Ministry. 7- For MSc holders: Clinical experience after obtaining the qualifications less than two years shall not be accepted. The documents are needed to be certified and authenticated according to the assets followed in the Ministry.

8- For BSC and Diploma ( of 3 years study) holders: Clinical experience after obtaining the qualifications less than one year shall not be accepted .The documents are needed to be certified and authenticated according to the assets fooled in the Ministry.

9- For Diploma holders (1-2 years study); clinical experience after obtaining the qualifications less than two years shall not be accepted. The documents are needed to be certified and authenticated according to the assets followed in the ministry. 10- The primary scientific qualification shall be dependent upon and taken into account when the candidates apply for the exam or evaluation. The higher degrees such as MSc , PhD..etc must be related closely to the BSc degree. Applicants with non-medical primary degrees ( for e.g. BSc degree)can not apply for MOH examination and licensing even if they have MSc or PhD degrees in a medical field. 11- In the event of interruption of work and expertise for a period of three years after the evaluation or experience in another area, re-evaluation after the submission of written and oral examination for all scientific qualifications is a must. 12- The applicant should specify the specialization desirable for the performance of the test before the test after that no change will be accepted. 13- The applicant who failed in the written examination is not allowed to appear in the oral examination. 14- Applicants who did not pass the oral exam. Will sit for oral exam only in the next examination trial. 15- Applicants will be given a chance of appearing in the exam three times per year, on the other hand the fourth chance of entering the exam will be after a year from the last exam, a certificate of recent six months clinical experience ( from the last exam attempt )should be provided before sitting for the exam. 16- In case of failure for the fourth time, the application shall be re-accepted for retesting after one year and as per above. 17- The minimum period to be adhered to between the exam and the other is three months for reapplication once again; Candidates can apply for the examination five times only. 18- GCC candidates carrying bachelor degree from colleges and universities and possess GCC approved work license, are exempted from written exams & and subjected to oral exam only in their specialty. 19- Expatriates candidates carrying bachelor degree from UAE colleges and universities approved by Ministry of Higher Education and Research, with at minimum one year clinical experience are

accepted for written and oral examinations. Those with no experience will be accepted for the examination but will be given one rank lower on evaluation and a statement NO EXPERIENCE will be added in their evaluation certificate. 20- The requirements set forth should be applied without exceptions.

Attestation

Academic certificate of BSC/MSC/PhD must be attested by:
