1. What seems to be the cause of the conflict?

The cause seem to be the previous manager who had no caring and zero motivation attitude towards the employees which in turn made the employees demoralised to work efficiently and abuse the employees in nature. Because of this reasons the employees were not much friendly and there were many conflicts between the North Indian and South Indian regarding the liking of the songs.

2. What style of conflict management are the distribution centres employees using in this case? There are using emotional, offensive and angry argument as their style of conflict management.

3. What style of conflict management have Hosur Healthcare System managers used in the past? The previous manager has an ignorant style of management which involved unintentional encouraging disruptive activities by staying in the offices not being available to the workers and never motivated.

4. What should Mr. Shankar do to settle the conflict? Should either or both the employees be punished for their behaviour? Mr. Shankar should approach both the employees and approach both the employees and listen to their concerns. Raj Shankar should be fired as he had a previous record of been in prison for 18 months. And Mr. Buddha should get a warning.

5. What can Mr. Shankar do over the long term to ensure that incidents such as the described in this case are less likely to occur? In the long term Mr. Shankar should try to have one to one communication with these employees to understand their needs and concerns and fulfil them if possible. He should also set up some strict rules and regulations which include members having any type of the conflict or concern should immediately talk to their concern supervisor or directly to Mr. Shankar.

6. What can Mr. Shankar do to develop a group of supervisors who can provide the support he requires and who can direct the work of the employees in the distribution centre?

First of all Mr. Shankar should have a look at all the supervisors background and experience if he finds any major issues that he should fire the supervisor and hire a new one with better knowledge and experience.

7. How important is communication important in this case? What should Mr. Shankar do to improve the quality of communication in the distribution centre? One to one communication with the employees and the supervisor as the key in this case as mentioned as one to one communication with all the employees must maintain any arising conflict should be addressed to their supervisor.
