The U.S. Government is currently leasing the island from Britain, if you ask a question, the fingers get pointed from east to west and back again to west to east. The leasing arrangement is the host of poverty, and the reason why the people are currently so impoverished right now, i.e., they don't have fishing rights. If you are found on a boat with a native, you might not have a job by the next morning.

Competitive technologies recently signed a distribution agreement for sales on it's pain therapy medical devices with a company that pulling down considerable revenues of the Greek side of Cyprus. Population of the Republic of Cyprus is approximately 1 million. Nicosia is the capital city of Cyprus. Turkey is the country that doesn't like it.

The court is backed by the government of South Africa and felt that promoting an international business friendly South Africa outweighed the interest of small business entrepreneurs. The republic of South Africa is a great place for business women. Unlike the rest of the world, 28% of it collective corporation senior management position are held by women. 21 percent of the worlds senior management position are held by women. The South African nation Of Botswana is the only African nation with the highest 39% of senior management position held by women. The G7 is a western nations made up of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, and the United States. Its lagging with Paltry 18% of seniors management position held by women. In the Republic South Africa, gender equality is reining supreme. In BRIC, 26% of its nations have women in senior management positions.

There are 47 countries on the African continent, including the disputed territory of Western Sahara. However, the islands off the coast are also usually listed as African, bringing the total to 53. The island nations are Cape Verde, So Tom and Prncipe, Madagascar, the Comoros, the Seychelles, and Mauritius. Each is an independent nation. Some sources do not count all of the island countries as African, so the total number fluctuates. So Tom and Prncipe, believed to have been originally uninhabited, were explored by Portuguese navigators in 1471 and settled by the end of the century. Intensive cultivation by slave labor made the islands a major producer of sugar during the 17th century, but output declined until the introduction of coffee and cocoa in the 19th century brought new prosperity. The island of So Tom was the world's largest producer of cocoa in 1908, and the crop is still its most important. The Portuguese empire ran its trade from the ports near the Atlantic Ocean until the revolution in 1974. The Portuguese revolution of 1974 brought the end of the overseas empire, and on July 12, 1975, Lisbon granted So Tom independence. The first inhabitants of the Comoros arrived no later than the 6th century AD; and were thought to have been African, Southeast Asian and Oceania settlers, and thus were ultimately populated by a series of groups from Africa , the Persian Gulf, the Malay Archipelago, and Madagascar. The development of the Comoros began during the 9th and 10th centuries, with trade routes emerging between the 11th and 15th centuries. Pre-European colonization the islands were known by Arab navigators on trading voyages, but were never inhabited. Eventually Seychelles was settled by France in the 18th century, but it wasn't long before the British fought for control. A lengthy struggle between France and Great Britain for the islands ended in 1814, when they were ceded to the latter. Although the new governor to the islands was British, he governed according to French rules, and allowed previous French customs to remain intact. Slavery was completely abolished in 1835, and the island nation subsequently began to decline as exportation decreased. In the late 19th century, Seychelles became a place to exile troublesome political prisoners, most notably from Zanzibar, Egypt, Cyprus and Palestine . The 1967 election gave a majority in the assembly to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam's proindependence Labor party. Independence was granted in 1968, and Ramgoolam became the first prime minister. Mauritius joined the Commonwealth of Nations and the United Nations. The 1960s saw the rise of left-wing militancy, while in the 1970s and 80s political coalitions formed along ethnic and class lines. The economic crisis of the late 1970s and early 80s, after Cyclone Claudette and a drop in world sugar prices, intensified internal disputes. In 1982 the left-wing Mauritius Militant Movement (MMM) came to power, and Anerood Jugnauth became prime minister. The following year a split in the MMM led Jugnauth to form the Mauritius Socialist Movement (MSM). Jugnauth headed a series of coalition governments. In 1992, Mauritius became a republic, with Cassam Uteem as its first president. In 1995, Navinchandra Ramgoolam, son of the former prime minister, and a Labor-led coalition came to power after defeating Jugnauth in a landslide, but in Sept., 2000, Jugnauth and an MSM-MMM coalition returned to power in a similar landslide.
