Role of Nurses for Communities

Indonesia is a country with a population that is so large that about 250 million people. This large number of people in Indonesia spread from Sabang to Merauke. Each ethnic group its own characteristics pick and has its own customs. Many beautiful places that can be !isited. The rapid ad!ancement in the Indonesian economy will ine!itably increase public interest to ha!e a motor !ehicle building thousands of new homes building skyscrapers scrape the green land for commercial purposes "buildings houses etc.#. $ation%s economic growth is not directly proportional to the growth of the importance of maintaining a healthy body. &ust look around us the children are still under the age of many who smoke many people still throw garbage in the ri!er despite the danger of flooding could ha!e come the growing interest in fast food ' instant etc.. That%s the sign that the people of this nation still ha!e a low awareness of the importance of health care. The danger if this is allowed to continue then the !arious diseases will emerge and e!ol!e if we do not start to pre!ent it. (ere the importance of the role of nurses as %implementing nursing% pro!ide nursing care to the community. If the obser!ed role of nurses in nursing work directly pro!ide care to the community is still not much.$urses still tend to work in hospitals clinics a lecturer or working in health centers. $urses who ha!e a role as e)ecutor of nursing can ma)imi*e its function is to work directly the society be it in the citi*ens go!ernment institutions schools orphanages etc.. This effort than as a pre!enti!e against the disease as well as efforts to impro!e public education. Sciences which has been owned by nurses could be disseminated to the public so that the knowledge and interest of maintaining public health for the better. This is done by nurses and other health professionals are also midwi!es physicians public health nutrition etc. will ha!e a tremendous effect for the nation. Imagine if this was done by nurses and health workers in e!ery district in this country then there will be no news about malnutrition children die because of diarrhea (I+ ' ,I-S continues to rise increasing stroke etc..
