Bachelor of Science in Mathematics

Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science The department offers undergraduate degree programmes leading to the award of Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) and B.Sc. in Computer Science. For B. Sc (Mathematics), students major in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics from their third year of study. In first and second years of study students take the university-wide, school-wide and departmental common courses. Design of the Programme Students shall be expected to choose a specialization area either in the hardware, software, pure mathematics, applied mathematics or statistics option at the beginning of third year. In addition to the normal semesters, there are field and industrial attachment programmes at selected industrial or educational establishments at the end of third and fourth years.
