Introduction
As the world becomes more demanding in the field of science and its application, it is necessary to broaden the scope of research in this area. It is important to note that the global changes accentuate the process of how people try to make their life easier. The effective actions appropriate for this condition must be based on understanding not only of the processes, but also of their effects on the life of communities. Regarding to this, researchers have important roles in building the facilities for people in all parts. As the researchers come face to face with these challenges, they bring the knowledge combined into technological innovation and good practices that will be able to drive major changes, and finally solve the problems in communities. It is essential to consider how researches are organized and governed to anticipate future changes and how researchers find new ways of cooperation that can be explored within their fields. However, all parties need to take it seriously about the researches in the field of science and its application. In that case, Universitas Tanjungpura, along with the celebration of its QQnd anniversary, and in collaboration with British Culture Learning Centre (BCLC) and University of Leicester, will hold a conference as an attempt to do the implementation and integration of science and its application. This conference gives the opportunity for researchers to present various studies and to have a professional collaboration to create a brighter future.
