the Greene County Rural Events Center on High School Road, Leakesville MS on April 4th. The event will get underway with a Community Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, April 5th beginning at 8 AM. Garage sale enthusiasts are encouraged to come out - visit, shop, eat, and have fun. Anyone wishing to set up sale items should call ahead for information, the number to call is 601-408-5965. Then on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM there will be picking and singing in the Town Park across from the Courthouse on Main Street, Downtown Leakesville. Bring your lawn chairs and share Greene County hospitality with the musicians. Greene Countys own, Jeff Byrd, will provide the sound system for this performance. Bands will be performing Community Outreach Concerts at local Senior Citizens facilities both in Leakesville and Richton. Bands will also perform in school performances at all Greene County Schools. Master Class Workshops including Quilting will be held free for ticket holders beginning Thursday, April 10th, continuing on Friday and Saturday. Bluegrass Bingo will be on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings in the District 1 Community Center; this activity is free for festival ticket holders. Tuesday evening performances will bring to the festival stage our guest emcee, Marvin Poole from Denham Springs, LA; The Bluegrass Misfits from Louisiana; Bluff Creek Bluegrass from Vancleave, MS; L & M Bluegrass from Louisiana and Mississippi; Al Griffin and Ole Time Country from the local area; and Chicks With Picks, these ladies are from here, there and yonder. Donations will be accepted at the door both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Gospel in the Round returns to the concert area from 2 pm until 4 pm on Wednesday and will be led by Mary and Mike Robinson from Massachusetts; everyone is encouraged to bring your instruments and join in this activity. A covered dish dinner for attendees with full festival passes are encouraged to make your favorite dish and join in the fellowship. Piggly Wiggly Grocery is one of the sponsors for this annual event. The Wednesday evening service is all gospel and will feature Jeff Long of Reform, AL as our speaker along with special music performed by The Harrigill Family from Louisiana; Answered Prayer from the Hattiesburg area with ties to Greene County; and everyones favorite, The Mason Chapel Choir from Leakesville. Thursday morning is our Ladies Morning Out program, however, this year the program will be in the Rural Events Center and is open to all festival ticket holders and those who purchase the Thursday ticket. Mississippis own, The Ragger Roos from the Jackson area will entertain

as only they do. It is an awesome show!!! Then beginning at Noon, festival performers will include Mississippis own The Trustys of Davo Crossing; The Punches Family from Missouri; The Farm Hands from Nashville, TN and their signature fried pies (so good); Williamson Branch from Nashville, TN; Chicks With Picks will return after their Tuesday evening performance; Stars of Tomorrow will return to Leakesville featuring from Indiana Col Isaac Moore and Kyle Ramey, from Nashville, TN Jaylee Roberts and from the Country Show Tonight Theater in east TN Willow Osborne; and Grammy Nominated and Rounder Recording Artist, James King from Virginia will close out the Thursday festival. Friday features Breakfast with a King, thats James King, who will be also performing a mini concert for those attending. This event will take place in the District 1 Community Center and is a ticketed event. Breakfast, two (2) CDs and the concert is only $20; tickets are available to the first 100 folks who purchase the tickets. James King is known through out the Bluegrass World for his home style biscuits and sausage gravy!!! Performing Friday will be The Moron Brothers from KY who are coming back by popular demand. Also, taking the stage will be The Punches Family; The James King Band; The Stars of Tomorrow; The Bluegrass Misfits and L & M Bluegrass. The annual Hillbilly Contest will start of the Saturday activities beginning at 9 AM and will feature some one you will probably know or maybe wish you did not know!!! Childrens activities highlight the afternoon including Nickels in the Hay and instrument instruction on bluegrass music; this activity is led by Linda and Danny Trusty of Tylertown, MS; Debbie McLeod of Leakesville; and Martha and Jay Sheperd of Vermont. There will be drawings for the annual Grocery Grab sponsored by Piggly Wiggly Grocery and Bertie Sullivan, Festival Promoter and Producer; a Blueridge Guitar by Saga Music of California; and a Deering Banjo, Deering Banjo is also a California company. Darrell, Darrell, and Darrell will once again perform on Saturday, a favorite from the 2013 festival; from NC will come The Crowe Brothers, a southeast favorite in the bluegrass festival circuit; also the Moron Brothers, The Punches Family, Stars of Tomorrow; Davo Crossing and the Be a Star Show. Our guest band, Wood & Wire, will be on the grounds leading many jam sessions and will probably perform on the main. Food vendors will be on the grounds preparing the usual festival fare. Arts and Crafts vendors will return; Mississippi Music will be on the grounds; Shop Leakesville First is sponsored by Jeff Byrd and the prize is $100 to some lucky winner who turns in the winning receipt from a Greene County business.
