0 Introduction

This document is a proposal to make a homepage of a stationery shop. So far the

business has been profitable and has worked out well for the owner. The growth
of stationery sales has been very good and the store has been well received in
the community especially to the students nearby. The following is a proposal to
develop a website for KM Stationery Shop which situated at no.103, Lorong
1/91, Taman Shamelin Perkasa, Batu 3 ½, Cheras, 56100 Kuala Lumpur. After
reviewing the standards, we developed this proposal to describe to you the
website for this stationery shop. This proposal contains information on the need
for a standards stationery shop.

1.1 Organization Background

KM Stationery Shop was established in 2006 to serve the needs of local people
in Taman Shamelin Perkasa, and has served in this area to this present time.
Besides serving students nearby, it also serves company nearby by produce
office equipments.

KM Stationery Shop is owned by a board of directors. It is staffed by 17

employees (11 full-time and 6 part-time). The shop is funded primarily by
Mr.Wong because it is a sole proprietorship business.

KM Stationery Shop also recognizes a responsibility to improve education, self-

sufficiency and job marketability. Toward that goal it offers various stationery
goods. Two computers have recently been added to help with scanning and
printing.

The purpose of why need to develop website for KM Stationery Shop shall be:

• To let outsiders know about the shop.
• To fulfil latest need nowadays that most business being done virtually.
• To make easier for customers to order stationeries from nowhere.
• To develop our knowledge and skill that we have learned in class before.
2.0 Project Scope

Our project scopes are:

• To develop a flexible and adaptable website to manage KM Stationery Shop

that will help both customers and employees.

• To make an easy access which either not or less complicated website for
those who will be using it later.

• Focusing on promoting both stationeries and the company, but not either
one.

3.0 Project Objective

Our project objectives are:

• Be familiar with e-commerce

• Be able to use the website

• Fulfil what lecturer needs

for KM Stationery Shop. Because we are first year students of KPTM and have

can create a standards website that will accurately reflect the KM image and will
be a valuable resource for KM employees and customers.
