Kids Activities in Florence The secret doors of Palazzo Vecchio The old residence of the Medici and current city hall is full of interesting histories behind every door. They offer various tours in English such as the following: The Medieval Palace Revealed allows exploring the oldest parts of the building: a fourteenth centurys staircase hidden in the wall thickness, the apartment of the Priors and the guard walk on the battlement of the Palace. The Life at the Medicis Court is a visit to the ducal apartments, including the secret study room of Duchess Bianca Cappello, usually closed to the public. The tour is ending in the Gallery of Renaissance Costumes, where some replicas of dresses belonged to the members of the ducal family are located.

These tours are presented in two versions, with different approaches: a playful tour for families with children from 3 years old and a tour for families with children from 10 years old. Kids Friendly Museums and guided Tours Palaz Pala zzo Vecchio Old residence of the Medici Family, with magnificent frescoes on the walls and incredible stories behind each door! Previous reservation for special tours for children required. Opening hours: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day.

Galileo Museum The Museum shows the inventions of Galileo, its passion for astronomy and interesting facts about his finding through interactive learning Opening hours: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Speccola Museum The Section of Zoology 'La Specola', founded by the Grand Duke Peter Leopold of Lorraine, was opened to the public in 1775, and it's the oldest scientific museum in Europe. It holds the largest collection of anatomical waxworks in the world and over 3.500.000 animals. Opening hours: Daily 9:30 a.m to 4:30pm.

Museo Leonardo da Vinci Dedicated to the universal genius, this interesting place will offer a unique experience showing that the inventions of Leonardo were not so wrong as they seemed in the past! Opening hours: 10.00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day.

Pinocchio Museum and Butterfly Ho House (outside Florence) Situated in Collodi, Pescia it is a place dedicated to the story of Pinocchio. Tickets costs 11.00 for adults and 8.00 for kids under 12. Please contact the Concierge for driving directions as well for opening hours. Opening hours: 8.30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day.

Stibbert Mu Museum If you like to learn about amours, ancient manners for the Italian Aristocracy and stories about the rival families, this is definitely the place! The museum owns a large collection of amours, swords, and helms dating back 400 years. Opening hours: Mon, Tue and Wed 10.00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fri, Sat, Sun 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Closed on Thursdays.

Bobol Boboli oli Gardens In the summer is the ideal place to go for a walk, see how the Medici Family used to live in their luxurious palace and enjoy a nice day in the green lovely gardens. The ticket entrance to the garden allows you also to visit the various exhibitions such as the Porcelain Museum and the Palatina Gallery. No reservations required. Opening hours: From 8.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. every day Closed on Mondays.

Babys Babysitting Service We can certainly arrange an English-speaking babysitter to be at the hotel for a few hours. Please contact the concierge preferably at least one day in advance. Cost per hour 40.00

Picnic in the gard garden On the sunny days we can arrange a lovely picnic outside in our park with all necessary to spend a wonderful afternoon in the green. All you need to do is contact the Concierge one day in advance in order to provide you with the picnic menu and reserve all necessary!

Age Restrictions Please note that children under 12 years should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to any of the before-mentioned activities.
