1. Demographics- statistical data relating to the population and particular groups within it 2. Spreadsheet-a computer program in which figures arranged in the rows and columns of a grid can be manipulated and used in calculations 3. Anesthesia Awareness- when a patient under general anesthesia receives insufficient medication or the anesthesia wears off too quickly to prevent consciousness and recall, which can be very traumatic if the patient is undergoing a surgical procedure 4. Endotracheal Tube- (also called ET tube or ETT) a breathing tube, usually made of flexible plastic, inserted in a patients trachea to ensure the airway remains open and protected so air is able to reach the patients lungs; used during induction and in tubation 5. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist- (CRNA) like an anesthesiologist, a CRNA administers anesthesia and monitors and manages patients before, during and immediately following a medical or surgical procedure; CRNAs work in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other healthcare practitioners and have advanced training and a master's degree 6. Range of Motion- (ROM) A measure of the amount of movement/motion available at any given joint of the body 7. Acronym- an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word 8. Borrower- A person who obtains a loan and who is responsible to repay it 9. Default- When a federal student loan payment is 270 days delinquent or when the borrower fails to meet other terms of the promissory note 10. Neuromuscular Re Education- The training of an individual to recover or develop effective sensory and motor strategies for task demands 11. Anesthesia- insensitivity to pain, esp. as artificially induced by the administration of gases or the injection of drugs before surgical operations 12. Tuition- a sum of money charged for teaching or instruction by a school, college, or university 13. Finance- the management of large amounts of money, esp. by governments or large companies 14. Graduate- a person who has successfully completed a course of study or training, esp. a person who has been awarded an undergraduate academic degree 15. Degree- the amount, level, or extent to which something happens or is present 16. Financial Aid- money to support a worthy person or cause 17. Institution- a society or organization founded for a religious, educational, social, or similar purpose 18. Extracurricular- (of an activity at a school or college) pursued in addition to the normal course of study 19. Sorority- a society for female students in a university or college, typically for social purposes 20. Graduate School- a division of a university offering advanced programs beyond the bachelor's degree 21. Integrity- the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness 22. Application- a formal request to an authority for something

23. Anatomy- the branch of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms, esp. as revealed by dissection and the separation of parts 24. Physiology- the branch of biology that deals with the normal functions of living organisms and their parts 25. College Board- an organization that prepares and administers standardized tests that are used in college admission and placement
