Largest Corporate Blood Donor Award for L&T-ECC

ECC Recreation Club (ECCRC), HQ, Chennai, has been organising blood donation camps once a year during May when the need for blood gets very high and stocks of donor blood get to low levels. Over the last two years, hundreds of ECC HQ staff and students from CSTI have generously come forward and donated blood to Red Cross for a cause (while it was 401 units the year before, this year we had over 420 units as collection during the camp). Our act has won the appreciation of Red Cross as L&TECC has emerged the largest Corporate Blood Donor last year. Appreciating this, at an event marking the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the Indian Red Cross Society (TN) presented a Rolling Trophy for 2008 to L&T ECC.
