This project mostly gives me much improvement in using English as verbal in class or outside the learning session. Throughout this project also gives me a chance to communicate fluently, correctly and confidently in a variety of situations. In a group of four, we have to listen critically and discuss on contemporary issue which is then we have to present our personal views on factors contributing to the issue and the possible ways to resolve the issue. Actually, this project should be hand in on 9th August 2013 but our group had finished the task before the deadline with cooperation so that we can complete other tasks given by other lecturers. I downloaded a video on you tube site about contemporary issue on Prostitution. The video is more likely on telling the solutions of the prostitution issue which is happened in Ethiopia. During our group presentation this morning (31st July 2013), I was feeling nervous and not really ready because I have not remembered my elaboration for my point on the factors contributing to the prostitution issue. I felt horrible because I am taking more than one minute to present my part. For the next oral presentation, I will try harder to not to spend more than the time that has been written in the project tasks given. I hope this project can improve everybody pronunciation and understanding variety of texts also give personal response because it is the good way by the lecturer to make her students using English in daily life confidently. Thank you.

I have been given the opportunity to carry out English Language Proficiencys Coursework. During the completion of the coursework, I have done my very best. The coursework had improved my English proficiency skills; reading, writing, thinking and listening skills. I had improved my reading skills by revising for the quiz and searching information for the oral presentation. For the quiz, I had read a few books and internet sources on word classes and tenses. I learnt that there are a few word classes; noun, verb, adjective, adverb, pronoun, preposition, conjunction, determiner and exclamation. Tenses define as the time of a verb's action or state of being, such as present or past. There are three main tenses; simple, perfect and progressive tenses. My writing skills had also improved. I manage to write a critical reflection on how the project had improved my English language proficiency. Apart from that, I also able to prepare the slide show for the oral presentation by writing the causes and ways to overcome the contemporary issues, prostitution. While searching for the video, I had done a lot of thinking and analyzing. Besides that, I also listened carefully to each word to gain information that was available in the video. This is to ensure that the video that was chosen is suitable with the issue and the guidelines of the coursework. This had helped improved a lot on my cognitive and listening skills. During the process of completing the coursework, I had felt to give up. This is because it is quite difficult to find the right video, factors and possible ways to overcome the contemporary issue that we have chosen. However, I overcome the feeling by doing the coursework based on 5

the guidance and advice from my English Language Proficiencys lecturer, Madam Hairani bt. Bujang. Through the participation in the making of this coursework, I have gained confident to talk in front of the class. Lastly, I hope that I can apply the knowledge that I had gained from the coursework in the future to be a good teacher.

My English Language Proficiency has improved a lot after completing my WAJ3103 ELP coursework. The skills I have improved are reading, writing, thinking, speaking and grammar. My reading skill have improved by reading many articles about contemporary issue focussing on prostitution. After watching the video, I try to find articles about the issue, read and try to understand about it. Mostly, I get from the internet sources such as blog and other website. For the writing skill, I have write the informations from the articles into a short form or pocket note. After reading, I will write as many points as I can. I can use this notes to memorise something without bring any paper while presenting infront my lecturer and classmates. Thinking skill have improved after watching the video without reading anything about the issue. There are many questions on my mind. For the example, This video is about what?, Why they can involved in that issue?. Speaking and grammar skills have improved when I was presenting. I try to speak properly and make sure the grammar is correct. The audience will easy to understand. I try to be confident while speaking. There is problem when my members and I doing this coursework. The poor internet connection took much time to search for the suitable video. While presenting I also have a problem because Im feel nervous but I can do it. Hopefully I get become more confident after this. As the conclusion, this coursework surely have improved my skills in ELP and I think I have my confident to speak in English for the next time.

With praise of God for his permission my group member completed the assignment successfully. To complete this task, there were various problems and challenges face by me. At firstly, I not really understand the title of the assignment. Thanks to the patience

and commitment of my group member who are willing to help me to understand the question. My English Language Proficiency has improved a lot after completing my WAJ3103 ELP II course work. Through this course I have improved my reading, writing, thinking, listening and speaking skill. When I watch video that our group finds out about prostitution issues, I have improved my listening skill. I almost view the video for two times to understand and I also making some note about the video. Before I present, I have make some short note for me to present my part which is conclusion about prostitution and I have practice it. After I finish my presentation I think I have improved my speaking skill. In this course work, I also improve my grammar (word classes and tenses) and also my reading skill through reading comprehension and understand it. In addition, all assignments must be made, and no element plagiarizes other people's work because, given the objectives of this task so that students can be more understand. Support and guidance from the lecturers and friends I will never forget. This is because without them, I cannot complete this task successfully. In addition, this work has

motivated me. This is because many new things have been learned. I figure out I can understand and communicate more fluently, correctly and confidently

through these assignments. I hope all the problems it can be done because the challenge to teach me to be more successful.
