Q.2.

And how do we prepare our organizations and institutions so they will respond appropriately in a
crisis

With proper preparation and effective response, crises can be overcome and may even change organizations for the better. As stated in a publication of Ethics esource center. !n the first place, "e should ma#e sure that our organizations and members of the organizations comply "ith the basic organizational ethics la"s and other regulations set by government agencies. A crisis in an organization can usually be traced bac# to some or other violation of ethical standards, but after a crisis has da"ned upon an organization, organizations should have their strategic planning planned in a "ay that instead of coming under stress, losing the sense of purpose or plan and start shifting the blame, the organization should start detecting the problem and start "or#ing to"ards fi$ing the problem and recovering. %his "ould not only be beneficial for the organization itself, but "ould also boost its image in the eyes of its sta#e holders and public. Q2. How do we influence them if we do not agree with their point of view? !n such a case, for a manager to influence the vie"s of his organization, his opinions need to be consistent and un"avering. &e needs to have support ,that is, he should find and collaborate "ith some other people from his organization "ho share the same set of individual ethics code as he does, and thus also share his opinions. As, 'tephen couldn(t gather support from his group, even after being right, he couldn(t go about his plans of ma#ing sure that sadhu gets proper treatment. After finding the support, the manager should collect ade)uate relevant data and facts and then should go ahead and ma#e his case in front of the concerned sta#e holders of the organization to convince them.
