Montage
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I looked online until I found a picture with high resolution of a winding road to match the message I had chosen. I also looked for a picture of Lao-tzu who was the Chinese philosopher who said the quote I was using. Once I had found the pictures I wanted I used Photoshop to blend them together with the quote. On the quote I broke it up into different textboxes so that I could create the look I was going for and to help the message really stand out. Message: Sometimes we just need to start in order learn something new Audience: Anyone looking for motivation Top Thing Learned: Making sure the picture has enough pixels in order to have truly awesome design and impact of message. Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: On the background I made a copy of it and then changed the settings of the cyan and magenta to -20 to create a slight colorization to the picture I used. Full bleed event ad helping a local family that has cancer using Microsoft Word and a scanner.

Scanned picture of cupcakes and used Microsoft Word to create ad. I cropped the picture and added triangles to help bring contrast and help give direction for flow of message.

How to play with the font styles for it standout more instead of blending in with the picture. Title Font Name & Category: Bookman Old Style and Modern Copy Font Name & Category: Times New Roman and Modern Scanned images used, sources, original sizes, location of scanner used: The picture came from The Wilton School Decorating Cakes, used the scanner in the Spori Lab, ~3.5 x 4 size of image.

Flier
Description: A Black and White flier promoting the Graduate Leadership Conference Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Created sketches to find a layout to use as a guide through the flier creation process. I used InDesign to create the flier utilizing a box and a couple lines to help add contrast and bring out the message of the flier. I used a picture of college students looking professional to help draw in the audience as well as using one word as the focal point. I also had a smaller body text to bring them in with white space at the bottom to continue the flow and smooth look while maintaining professionalism. Pictures and logo were provided. Message: I was focusing on graduates gaining a competitive edge in business and how this conference would help them in their future careers. Description: An informative brochure of a shooting facility. Message: To inform people what activities are offered at the shooting facility. Audience: Parents and Youth Leaders.
