Community Building Organization Assistance Maximize Potential Effective Mentorship & Genuine Policy Consultation Overall Services Innovation Tayong mga mag-aaral ay COME & GO sa ating unibersidad. Papasok at makalipas ang ilang taon, aalis na rin. Nais ng bagong Basic Student Service Committee na sa pamamagitan ng University Student Council, ang mga batayang pangangailangan ng kapwa Iskolar ng Bayan ay mapupunan sa ilang taong pamamalagi rito.

COMMITTEE STRUCTURE

Committee Head shall: 1. Convene and preside the meetings of the members of the committee; 2. Be in-charge of directing and overseeing the activities of the committee; 3. Sign all communications and official papers of the committee; 4. Report to and update the University Student Council members of the activities and developments in the committee. 5. Closely coordinate with Alliance of Concerned Dormitories, Local College Student Councils and offices such as Office of Student Housing, Office of Counseling and Guidance, University Food Service and UP Health Service. Committee Secretary shall: 1. Record the minutes of the meeting. Such minutes of the meeting shall be submitted to the committee chairperson within a week after the meeting; 2. Keep all the official papers and documents of the committee; Organizations and Dormitories Coordinator shall: 1. Assist the chairperson in coordinating with the Office of Student Housing; 2. Gather all the relevant statistics of each dormitory every semester and such statistical findings shall be submitted to the secretary of the committee; 3. Serve as the liaison arm of the committee to the Alliance of Concerned Dormitories. 4. Assist in the implement all the activities of the committee as regards the welfare of the students living in the residence halls of the University. 5. Provide assistance to organizations with regards to their events and organization recognition. Loans and Scholarships Coordinator shall: 1. Assist the chairperson in coordinating with the Office of Scholarship and Student Services; 2. Gather all the relevant statistics, issues and developments of the scholarships and loans available for the student; 3. Disseminate the information on the available scholarships and loans to different colleges and dormitories in coordination with local student councils and the Dormitory Coordinator. Academic and Social Awareness Coordinator shall: 1. Assist the chairperson in coordinating with Diliman Learning Resource Center and other university academic organizations; 2. Coordinate with the dorm councils in determining the subjects which are in need of tutorials and in disseminating the details of the tutorials; 3. Coordinate with the USC Education and Research committee in holding educational discussions and providing venue for social awareness events for students. Campus Safety and Security Coordinator shall: 1. Cooperate with the USC Community Rights and Welfare Committee and the the UP Office of Community Relations (OCR) on disaster preparedness and risk reduction programs for the students; 2. Coordinate with the UP Chief Security Officer, UP Diliman Police and other authorities who are incharge of the safety and security of the University, especially of the entire studentry

COMMUNITY BUILDING Sa pagbibigay ng mga serbisyong pang mag-aaral, ito ay nararapat na pagtulungan ng buong komunidad. Isa sa mga ito ay ang pagkakaroon ng mas maayos na seguridad kung tulong tulong nating gagawan ng solusyon ang mga problemang ito. Ito ay mapagtatagumpayan kung bawat miyembro ng komunidad, UPD Police, security guards, lupong tagapamayapa ng mga barangay at tayo mismo ang magsasagawa ng dialogue upang solusyonan ang mga ito. ORGANIZATION ASSISTANCE Ang komiteng ito ay nararapat na maging tutok sa pagbibigay ng tulong sa panahon ng organization recognition. Pagkatapos nito, ang komite ay dapat pa ring maging bukas sa kung ano mang tulong ang hihinging ng mga organisasyon. Kasama na rin dito ang pagtulong sa pagpapareserba ng maaaring venues at mga pasilidad na kakailanganin. MAXIMIZE POTENTIAL Marami ring mga organisasyon ang nagbibigay ng mga serbisyo sa kapwa Iskolar ng Bayan. Ilan sa mga ito ay nagbibigay ng tulong pang akademiko sa ibat ibang asignatura. Ngayong taon, magsisilbing tulay ang komite sa mga ganitong gawain at lalo pang ilalapit sa mga nangangailangan. EFFECTIVE MENTORSHIP Ang komite ay maaari ring magsilbing mentor sa mga freshies, shiftees at transferees sa kanilang mga unang taon sa unibersidad. GENUINE POLICY CONSULTATIONS Magiging aktibo rin ang komite sa pakikipag-usap sa mga opisina ng Unibersidad na responsible sa mga polisiya ukol sa mga serbisyong natatanggap ng ating kapwa mag-aaral. Ilan sa mga ito ay ang mga polisiyang sumasaklaw sa student housing, food service at mga katulad na serbisyo. OVERALL SERVICES INNOVATION Nakaraang taon, nasimulan ang pagkakaroon ng Registration Grievance and Assistance Desk. Ngayong taon, mas palalawigin natin ang serbisyong ito sa mga ibat ibang kolehiyo, freshies na papasok palang at mga mag-aaral na nangangailangan ng tulong pampinansyal. Mas palalakasin rin natin ang pagkakaroon ng serbisyong pangkalusugan tulad ng HIV Testing na libre sa Health Service, Wellness Evaluation sa mga dorms at mga kolehiyo.
