Acoustic Design and System Documentation

This flyer contains information on important preliminary considerations for Acoustic Design. INDUSTRONIC is pleased to provide valuable information to help you choose and design your Public Address and General Alarm System. Professional Acoustic Design ensures intelligibility of PA announcements, voice alarm messages and increases the audibility of audio signals. Acoustic Design helps you to define your type of PA/GA system, the type and number of required loudspeakers ensuring reliable communication while meeting applicable standards and guidelines.

Requirements for Acoustic Design:

Plant layout
Customer provides drawings in the .dwg, .dxf, .jpg, .bmp, or .pdf format.

Ambient noise levels (noise levels of machines, pumps, etc.)

Different graphical illustrations possible (based on measured or predicted data). a) Ambient Noise Contour Map (e.g. pdf, bmp...) (see picture below) or b) QSI sound file of an already available ambient noise study (created by sound simulation software) or c) Measurement points on a plot plan or d) Ambient noise level spreadsheet

Hazardous area classification (diagram or spreadsheet)

Distinction between outdoor area, explosion-proof area, office building, accommodation and recreational building.

Supported loudspeaker types

We will use our expert know-how and many years of experience in the field of industrial Public Address and General Alarm Systems to offer you the types of loudspeaker that suit your specific demands best from our comprehensive product portfolio.

A Design to Budget

Estimation of the number of required loudspeakers in the free field for further planning Using our many years of experience, we manually calculate the number of loudspeakers

RESULT - System Documentation A complete list of the loudspeaker types and quantities used for each area. Technical data of selected speaker shows: Sound pressure level (dB) considering the distance to the loudspeaker Speaker output power (Watt) Ingress protection of loudspeaker (IP, Ex, indoors, outdoors, etc.)
