OSF Global Services Sponsors Underprivileged Children to Participate at Voronet Summer Camp
Bucharest, ROMANIA NOVEMBER 14, 2013 IT professional services provider OSF Global Services announced today their continued commitment to improving the life of less fortunate children by sponsoring 56 children from underprivileged families to attend the Voronet summer camp in June of 2013. Located in scenic Bucovina, Northern Romania near Voronet Monastery, the camp was a delight for both children and team leaders, two of the leaders being OSF Global Services employees. The children, who were up to twelve years old, came from underprivileged families who otherwise couldnt provide their children with fun, age-specific activities. Thus, this camp offered them a well-deserved break from their everyday routine through amusement, relaxation, socializing and games. The highlight of the camp was a series of mountain sports where the children encouraged each other to take on new challenges such as zip lining and trampolining. Other activities included hiking in the beautiful Stanisoara Mountains, competitive games, story-telling and singing around the campfire. The campers learned an important lesson during the five-day experience - although life on a mountain is difficult, self-confidence and team spirit can help one get over the toughest obstacles. Due to OSF Global Services contribution to the event, the children were able to forget about the struggles of everyday life and fully enjoy themselves. The affection and care with which they were surrounded impressed the children in a visible way. For many of them this was the first trip out of their hometown and an opportunity to experience a different way of life, to open horizons, and to find the courage to strive for a better life. While the children were the main focus of the event, the experience was rewarding for the leaders as well. The children were very excited, especially as some of them were experiencing camp for the first time. They were pleasantly surprised by how involved they were in activities, being treated with love, understanding and patience. Surely there is satisfaction for all those who were involved in organizing the camp.
