Creating a Myth
Myths were often used to explain natural phenomena or teach a lesson. Your challenge is to create your own ancient Greek myth featuring your god or goddess that explains a natural phenomenon or teaches a lesson. Be sure to feature your god or goddess power/strength/talent. Your myth must have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Here are some things to get you thinking: Where did the Rocky Mountains come from? Where did the Texas blue bonnets come from? Why is it dark at night? What is in the middle of the earth? Why is there sometimes fog in the morning? Why should you not lie? Why should you respect your parents? Why should you put others before yourself?
