WELCOME LETTER
All over the world, people are trying to launch their great ideas and become entrepreneurs. Great ideas can bring positive change to communities all across the globe. Through GIST, I have been working to bring that message to entrepreneurs in many nations. The GIST Initiative and its network of mentors and professionals work with entrepreneurs to help make their technology ventures become successful startups and growth companies. Passionate entrepreneurs driven by a mission to improve the lives of their families and communities are key drivers of economic growth and job creation globally. According to the World Bank, the world needs 600 million new jobs over a 15-year period to keep unemployment rates from rising. It is a mission critical to support the startups and the entrepreneurs who create them. Entrepreneurship offers a path to success for those who have the desire. To help them succeed, entrepreneurs often need guidance. When I started my first company, I didnt have the kind of support that the GIST Initiative provides. Having a program like GIST that connects entrepreneurs with a support community, gives in-depth mentorship, and offers practical insights would have helped me immensely. Now that I am in a position to give back to entrepreneurs around the world, I am honored to be partnering with GIST to advance their extremely positive vision of global prosperity through technology-based entrepreneurship. I encourage you to get to know GISTs programs, its team, and its successes, from the hundreds of ventures to which GIST has provided tailored training, to the top entrepreneurs that GIST identifies and supports via seed funding and ongoing mentorship. Furthermore, I encourage you to brainstorm ways you can join forces with GIST, as I have done, to empower entrepreneurs worldwide. Of all the programs available on the market, I found GIST to be the most effective, results oriented and dedicated endeavor, one that is clearly worthy of your time and partnership. - Jeff Hoffman GIST Advisory Group Member Member of founding group and former CEO of Priceline.com Founder of ColorJar
