(English translation)

All knowledge is hidden in the Mandala of Shri Vidya;

All blessings are gained through devotion to Shri Vidya.

Shri Vidya! Atma, Lalita, You are
Gauri, Shanta, Shri Mata, You are.

[2]
You are Mahalakshmi and Sarasvati;
You are Durga, Tripura and Gayatri.

[3]
You are the body of entire creation,
Still You are described as illusion.

[4]
Truth, Consciousness, Bliss are You,
Totality, Infinity, Light are You.

[5]
You are worshipped by reciting the Mantras,
You are searched by drawing the Yantras.

[6]
Through Tantras also You are known,
And recognized as the Form of Power.

[7]
You are primordial, immortal, ultimate Power,
For all three modes You are the basic Power.

[8]
Wherever a thing in manifest form appears,
That is the evidence of Your creative Power.
 [9]
Equilibrium in the Cosmos entire,
Is maintained through Your intelligent Power.

[10]
Moving material forms of the world
Are proof of Your active power.

[11]
Power of speech in beings that is found,
Comes from Your eternal point of sound.

You are Para-vaak, Pashyanti Power,
You are Madhyamma, Vaikhari Power.

Cosmic consciousness comes from You,
That is found in the entire universe.

When Your fraction attains a life,
It becomes a living being in the world.

You are in wakeful, sleep and dream states;
You are in Turia and in Samadhi states.

[16]
Sages meditate on You;
Poets sing songs in praise of You.

[17]
You reside in everyone’s body,
Senses, intellect, mind and the spiritual Self.

Whatever activities are in the universe,
They are all controlled by You.

You appear in several forms,
And regulate the cycle of universal movements.

Sun, moon and stars that appear,
Are manifestations of Your effulgence.

[21]
Through air, fire, water, and earth,
You manifest Your physical form.

Oh Godess! What is the mystery behind You?
This is being searched by human beings.

You are the root of all materialism,
You are the mother of all spiritualism.

[24]
Knowledge of material things is incomplete,
Only Self-knowledge makes it complete.

[25]
We have made a beautiful Yantra for You,
That contains the profound knowledge.

Energy and consciousness, both are in it,
Places of wisdom are in it.

[27]
All the evolution of language and script,
Is accomplished only through You.

[28]
By devoting life to sensual pleasures,
People are often forgetting You.

Those who go for the sense objects,
Attain happiness for a very short time.

Lust, anger, fear, greed, infatuation;
Go faraway when You are attained.

[31]
Whosoever recognizes You,
Also knows the mystery of life.

Those who are ignorant of You,
Are regretful in the end.

[33]
Give knowledge about You to everyone,
Make life happy for everyone.

[34]
Remove the darkness that is around,
Spread the light of supreme knowledge.

Promote peace, nonviolence and love,
Teach everyone the lesson of humanity.

[36]
Remove the turmoil from the world,
And display Your miracle power.

[37]
Whosoever has been supported by You,
He has attained everything from You.

[38]
Whosoever comes under Your shelter,
He attains all happiness from You.
 [39]
Whosoever is devoted to You,
His strength is increased by You.

[40]
We all sing the songs of Your Glory,
And are happy after singing them.

By reading this Chaalisaa, great merits are gained;

All sorrows are eliminated and great powers attained.
