FLOOD DISASTER MANAGEMENT PLAN (Group 01)

PREVENTION AND MITIGATION In the disaster management plan prevention and mitigation are the effective initial protective measures. Flooding can cause widespread economic and social damage, so the control of flood risk is often vital to a projects long-term success. There are no much more effective preventive measures for natural disasters but some make great impact on mitigation as well as small contribution to the preventive aspect. Such measures can be classified into . Structural measures !. "on-structural measures A) Structural #$ %ffective and sustainable drainage s&stem. This indicates more susceptibilit&. %ven though the people in this area know the risk of flood near the river, the& build houses without ade)uate protection due to the poor socioeconomic status. so resilience to the flood is low. Float some wood logs on the pool 1ut some human models in the pool 3/olor paints can be used to simulate wound, mud$ 1ut some sound effects resembling running water ; shouting for seeking help.
