Retain/Retrain Team Charter
Task: Develop plans to retain and retrain the current workforce
Deliverables:
• Identify the stakeholders (who we want to reach)
• Develop a “model” career lattice
Identify kills, knowledge & credentials neede to move up the career lattice
• Identify a list of barriers to retaining allied health employees
• Identify service providers to offer training
• Gain access to financial resources
• Identify what workers need to be retained (salary, benefits)
• Conduct a survey of service provider organizations (salary, benefits, turnover rates)
• Develop a plan for credential testing in our region
• Develop strategies for retaining/retraining
Ground Rules:
• Meet on a regularly scheduled basis
• All meetings to be planned, facilitated and result in action lists
• Try not to replicate work that is already going on. Add value.
• Seek community input on both strategies and plans.
Measures of Success
• Having a realistic plan to meet the task within prescribed timelines
• Plans are adopted
Timelines:
• Subcommittee strategy recommendations by 8/1/08.
• Subcommittee implementation plan recommendations by 11/1/08.
