years and 3 months of age; and

WHEREAS There is current and persistent unmet student need for care for
children under 2 years and 3 months of age; and

WHEREAS The student organization “Advocates for Students with Kids”

(ASK) is working to establish comprehensive childcare on campus,
such work including the provision of on-campus care for students who
have lost their childcare; and

WHEREAS Student Government supports ASK’s efforts to establish

comprehensive care for children of students at CUNY School of Law;
and

WHEREAS Student Government demands that CUNY Law Administrators

take immediate and necessary steps to develop a day care facility that
provides comprehensive care from infancy to kindergarten; and

WHEREAS Student Government has access to an office adjacent to the

cafeteria which is not currently used for meetings or other Student
Government-related business; therefore be it

ENACTED That the Student Government office shall be used for the
purposes of infant care during school hours (9:00 AM until 6:00
PM) until EITHER the CUNY School of Law Children’s Center is
expanded to include children from infancy to kindergarten OR an
Act is passed repealing this Act. Such childcare will be wholly
organized and administered by ASK. After school hours and when
there is no child needing care, priority will be given to regular
