Provide staff development by assisting in weekly staff meetings and individual one- on-one meetings. Maintain awareness of the facility needs to assess environmental and safety conditions. Oversee programmatic efforts of student staff and serve as a resource and promote collaborative university efforts. Responsible for the administrative task related to the operations of a desk staff. Advise a Hall Council and executive board to implement successful programs for the residence hall community. Oversee directly a Hall Council budget of $1, 500 for residential programs and initiatives. Utilizing conflict management and resolution techniques through roommate and floor concerns. Centralized Departmental Responsibilities Serve on the university wide 24/7 on-call rotation for 5,500 students with an emphasis on responding to incidents during weekends and during high traffic periods including accompanying students in crisis to the hospital. Adjudicate student conduct cases in a manner that promotes reflective contemplation on behavior and upholds the departmental and university community standards. Advocate for residents by communicating health and judicial concerns to a wellness team composed of residence life, wellness center, Title IX Deputy Coordinator, and ministry staff members. Serve on department and division committees such as the Recognition and Selection Committee. Develop collaborative relationships within the Division of Student Development and with key stakeholders external to the division, including but not limited to: Student Life, Campus Safety, Student Activities, Student Diversity and Multicultural Affiars, Wellness Center, and Campus Ministry. Directly supervised, trained, developed and evaluated five Resident Advisors with indirect oversight of a staff of 10. Served as a resource to students and families over the phone, email, Facebook (Pace Yourself-University App), and in person during Orientation sessions.
