The concepts oI SuIism in Hamka explain very dynamic. He understands SuIism with a more precise understanding oI the soul and spirit oI Islamic teachings. Then do the Iollowing steps: 1) Gather existing data either through books, documents, magazines, internet (web). 2) Analyze these data so that researchers bisamenyimpulkan about issues that were examined. xii In this study the authors memgambil three Iormulation oI the problem, namely: (1) How does the concept oI thought Hamka tentangtasawuI?, (2) How is the relationship between the ascetic mysticism?, (3) How is the relationship between SuIism with modern liIe? The results oI this study are: (1) Hamka assess that SuIism is a discipline that has been well established in Islamic studies. Hamka memaknai SuIism with ShiIa'ul Qalbi, that cleanse the liver, cleansing the manners oI temperament, temperament is impeccable, and perk with an admirable temperament. Hamka interpret the original intent oI SuIism that cleanse the soul, educate and enhance the degree oI cultivation, pressing all the cupidity and greed, Iighting sahwat the Iirst oI the purposes Ior yourselI. (2) Mysticism is the Ioundation Ior the beings who engaged in the world oI education. Thus, the relationship between SuIism with the education was very closely. It can be seen Irom the concept oI education as those made by Hamka. SuIism according to my perspective without education will not run smoothly even out putnya sacara was not as expected by the education itselI. The results oI this study is expected to arouse the awareness oI Muslims will be the suitability oI thought Iigures oI SuIism and inspired the emergence oI a more in-depth research and the integral oI the teachings oI SuIism.
