Islam is a path oI happiness that hakiki.Meski many Iormulations
oI happiness to come, but Islam is the only way it is. Religion which will
be relied upon and Irame liIe is not Islam that is currently understood to
have been divided into sects, each sect, and the practice oI worship that
they made and they believed each to practiced, so that in Iact they
themselves have been Iar Irom The main sources (the Qur'an and Sunnah).
Olehkarenanya, Hamka wants Islam to be the Iramework within which the
liIe was the religion oI Islam is pure, and Iree Irom the practice oI
polytheism, heresy and superstition.
The concepts oI SuIism in Hamka explain very dynamic. He
understands SuIism with a more precise understanding oI the soul and
spirit oI Islamic teachings. Hamka not understand SuIism and SuIi orders
as movement in this match umumnya.TasawuI Hamka model oI traditional
SuIism that tends to bring the seeds kebid'ahan, superstition,
dankesyirikan. While Hamka is a modernist ulama (a religious) who are so
anti tersebut.Dapat with things to say, the style oI SuIism SuIism is the
puriIication Hamka.
Considering how the creation oI SuIism and education is not a
minor and easily reached, then comes the concept oI SuIism that was
poured Irom thoughts or ideas about things related to SuIism which is
expressed by many tokohmuslim, one oI which is the author oI Modern
bukuTasawuI, Hamka.
This study is descriptive with the type oI qualitative research
libraryresearch, data collection techniques, in this case the authors identiIy
the discourse oI the books, papers or articles, magazines, journals, web
(internet), or other inIormation related to writing titles Ior search terms -
terms or variables in the Iorm oI notes, transcripts, books, newspapers,
magazines and so Iorth relating to the study oI the concept oI thinking
Hamka tentangtasawuI. Then do the Iollowing steps:
1) Gather existing data either through books, documents, magazines,
internet (web).
2) Analyze these data so that researchers bisamenyimpulkan about issues
that were examined.

In this study the authors memgambil three Iormulation oI the
problem, namely: (1) How does the concept oI thought Hamka
tentangtasawuI?, (2) How is the relationship between the ascetic
mysticism?, (3) How is the relationship between SuIism with modern liIe?
The results oI this study are: (1) Hamka assess that SuIism is a
discipline that has been well established in Islamic studies. Hamka
memaknai SuIism with ShiIa'ul Qalbi, that cleanse the liver, cleansing the
manners oI temperament, temperament is impeccable, and perk with an
admirable temperament. Hamka interpret the original intent oI SuIism that
cleanse the soul, educate and enhance the degree oI cultivation, pressing
all the cupidity and greed, Iighting sahwat the Iirst oI the purposes Ior
yourselI. (2) Mysticism is the Ioundation Ior the beings who engaged in
the world oI education. Thus, the relationship between SuIism with the
education was very closely. It can be seen Irom the concept oI education
as those made by Hamka. SuIism according to my perspective without
education will not run smoothly even out putnya sacara was not as
expected by the education itselI.
The results oI this study is expected to arouse the awareness oI
Muslims will be the suitability oI thought Iigures oI SuIism and inspired
the emergence oI a more in-depth research and the integral oI the
teachings oI SuIism.
