Steve Agg, Chief Executive, FCILT
Steve, a well-known figure in logistics, supply chain and public transport circles, joined the Institute in May 2006. He is based at the Institutes Corby headquarters. His role means he meets frequently with politicians and business leaders to ensure transport infrastructure remains a key priority in keeping the UKs economy moving. He has overseen the successful merger of other Institutes and training organisations into the CILT family. Before taking on the role of Chief Executive he was most recently in the high-profile post of Managing Director Business Services for the Freight Transport Association. Prior to this he was UK Distribution Director for Danone. Steve is a long-time member of the Institute and is committed to raising the profile and status of all individuals working in the logistics and transport profession. China presents to Western brands, including latterly eCommerce channels, to help them launch and build market share. Recently returned to the UK, Damian is responsible for ACS growing eCommerce product portfolio, designed to support a multi-channel strategy in China.

Stewart began learning Chinese at the age of 16 and after graduating from Durham University in Oriental Studies worked for both Hong Kong and Taiwan invested companies in the UK. Prior to joining CBBC three years ago, Stewart lived and worked in Guangzhou for eight years where he was General Manager for a Taiwanese export orientated manufacturer. Stewart has an indepth knowledge of both the opportunities and the issues UK companies may face when developing business in China. Located in Rugby, Stewart covers the West Midlands, Wales and South West England.

Dorothea is responsible for the development of new projects within the Institute. Dorotheas professional background is in training and developing people, with a significant proportion of her early career spent overseas. She is the Institutes liaison person for universities, humanitarian logistics and professional standards.

Maeve Magner, MBA, is a leading international supply chain advisor with a focus on developing economies. With over 29 years experience in this field, Maeve has accumulated a wealth of international experience, in both the public and private sectors. Her experience includes 25+ years working for multinational organisations including Dell, Tippingpont and Capgemini. Maeve currently works as a strategic advisor for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and CHAI, while participating on a regular basis on supply chain management advisory panels for USAID, GAVI Alliance and Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM) with a primary focus on improving public health supply chains in developing countries. Maeve also serves as a trustee on the board of Transaid, and as an advisor to the board of the People that Deliver Initiative (PtD). 8

After introducing steel fibre concrete to the Irish market in the 1990s, involvement in the BT, Hilton Towers and design of Belfasts Waterfront Hall, Tim moved to Cip Ltd to design and a install Tom Roes Point container terminal pavement in Drogheda, the first major project utilising Grouted Macadam. At 20,000 sq m, it was the largest project in Grouted Macadam at that time in the UK and Ireland. During the 2000s, he developed soil stabilisation within the Irish and Scottish markets. Back with Cip Ltd and Confalt Grouted Macadam since early 2012, he has been very successfully working with Port, Bus and Airport and Distribution installations.
Arne Mielken, Customs & Export Controls Duties Manager, Grant Thorntons
Arne has several years experience in advising clients on Customs & international trade matters and is an expert in the field of Customs legislation and policy. He has assisted his clients with the management of import and export procedures, customs regimes and duty to maximize cost-savings opportunities and enhance Customs compliance. Arne also offers clients assistance with the identification and classification of dual-use and military items, export control licence application and management, export control training and the development or enhancement of Internal Compliance Programmes (ICP) to professionally manage export controls in

Marco joined Cordstrap in 2001. Prior to that, he was an international truck driver for a global moving company for 11 years and before that, he was a driving instructor. From 2001 until 2007 he was area sales manager in the Port of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He was part of the developing team of the Cordstrap Training Center and became its Manager when it opened. He trains Cordstrap customers, distributors, and cargo securing experts. He has himself completed a variety of training programmes at Fortbildunscentrum Hafen Hamburg (currenty MA-CO Maritimes Competenzcentrum in Hamburg) and at Mariterm in Sweden. He has also regularly attend a variety of seminars worldwide on the various topics regarding cargo and load securing.

Peter Ward, Cargo Supply Chain Commercial Director, DP World London Gateway
Peter has over 30 years experience in international freight forwarding, global logistics and supply chain management. He is recognised as a principal authority on maritime intensive supply chains and logistics based on his achievements at Director level with some of the worlds leading global logistics providers. A graduate of the Institute of Export and Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Peters career started in the export shipping department of Courtaulds PLC, before he joined his familys freight forwarding company, DH Ward (Shipping) Ltd, where he became Managing Director. In 1994 he masterminded the Companys merger with American-owned Fritz Companies, which under his leadership became a top-five forwarder in Europe. More recently Peter was Director Europe of P&O Nedlloyd Logistics, and Managing Director of the International Supply Chain division at Wincanton Group, prior to joining DP World London Gateway in April 2011.

Transaid is an international development charity which champions local transport solutions to improve access to basic services and economic opportunity for people in Africa and in developing countries. It was founded by Save the Children and The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and its Patron is HRH The Princess Royal. Transaids work focuses on three core areas of expertise along with advocacy, including transport management, professional driver training and many people in the developing world are denied their basic human rights. Women die in childbirth because they cannot access healthcare facilities in time, children go uneducated because they live too far from the nearest school, women struggle with the daily drudge of finding fuel and water and carrying food for their families, and businessmen and women cannot easily get to their place of work due to the lack of available or affordable transport.
