Nama Pelajar: Section A Bahagian A [ 28 marks ] [ 28 markah ] Answer all questions in this section. Jawab semua soalan dalam bahagian ini. April 2014 Kelas: 1 Jam 30 Min Markah :
A student carries out an experiment to investigate the relationship between the period of oscillation, T, and the mass of the load, m, of a spring. The results of the experiment are shown in the graph of T2 against m in Diagram below.

Based on the graph in Diagram above: Berdasarkan graf pada Rajah di atas: (i) State the relationship between T2 and m. Nyatakan hubungan antara T2 dengan m.
[ 1 mark/ markah] (ii) Determine the value T when m = 0.30 kg. Show on the graph, how you determine the value of T. Tentukan nilai T apabila m=0.30 kg Tunjukkan pada graf itu bagaimana anda menenukan nilai T.

ANSWER 1 (a) (i) (ii) T2 increases linearly with m//T2 increases, m increases - draw the extrapolation line and show the vertical line corresponding to m=0.30 - state the value of T2 (within range 1.45-1.50) - determine the value of T(within range 1.30-1.22) draw a sufficiently large triangle/ 33 correct substitution (follow candidates triangle) 1.25 0.20 0.25 // corresponding values 4.2(within range 4.1 to 4.3) (b) 1 1 1 1 1

- do not exceed the elastic limit of the spring - position of the eyes must be aligned with the scale on the stopwatch - repeat the experiment and take the average reading
