If a PLC (AR10x, PP300, PP400) is booted when the network cable is unplugged, the boot process is delayed by 5 seconds.

If two or more network cards are used on an AS/PVI computer, then an error message appears if only the node number (/DA) is used when
establishing the connection. However, this behavior only occurs with AR SG4 I2.90 and J2.90.

With a certain registration sequence, RF=0 results in a data event never being triggered.
If a process object is only setup with EV=e and then EV=d or EV=ed is set, the data event is not triggered until the next cyclic read. When
RF=0, no cyclic read is triggered. Now a read is always started after a change to the "ed" events.

In Windows Vista the PVI Manager can not be operated as a service.

Once the PVI manager is started, the dongle can only be read one more time. If you call BrSecChk.exe again, the dongle can no longer be
found. The problem only occurs with the LPT1 dongle holder on the APC.
A USB dongle can be read multiple times even when the PVI manager is running.

When using a USB or LPT dongle, communication with the PLC is blocked for approximately 300 ms each minute.
PVI OPC Server

In a configuration with multiple PVI connections (local and remote), after a short failure of one or more remote PVI connections data is no
longer received from the OPC server.
PVI Services .NET

If the write buffer of a structure is written with Var.Active=True, the write buffer is overwritten before the structure is written to the control
(changing the value on the control causes callbacks).

With PviServices 2.5.3.27 (Development 2.5.3.3009), structures can no longer be resolved.

After a connection is broken and reestablished, the ErrorCode property is not reset for the CPU and variable object in the connected event.

An exception occurred in Windows CE if writing to an array element.

The connected event of the CPU object is not executed on Windows CE targets.

A PviServices variable object can no longer be switched inactive with "var.Active = false" after a connection is lost.

If a variable is added to a variable collection and then removed, then it's no longer possible to add the same variable again.

Exception when accessing a structure array with PlcString or BOOL variables on SG3 targets
An exception could occur when accessing a structure variable that contains plcStrings and BOOL variables.

If PviServices are used in Windows CE, an exception may occur when generating the service object.

The StructName property can be used to determine the name of a structure. However, the variable must have been uploaded beforehand for
this.
PVI Setup
Section numbers are not output during PVI developer setupSection numbers are not output during PVI developer setup
When setting up the PVI developer, no sections numbers are shown in the component selection list. These section numbers are needed for
autoinstall mode.

When the PVI setup is opened from the command line (in autoinstall mode), the exit code is not set when the following errors occur:
The PVI setup is installed in a writeprotected directory
The PVI manager is running

When starting the PVI OPC Configurator, error messages appeared stating that the OS9 Arcnet and MTC lines could not be loaded.

Because the OPC Server was registered incorrectly, it could not be started automatically by the client.
This problem only occurred if version 2.5.2.3060 was installed on a new PC. When updating, the OPC Server was correctly registered.
PVI Web Server

If the setup is run on a computer that has never had an older PVI setup installed, the B&R PVI webserver can't be used, because it can't find
the corresponding registry keys for the line DLL.

With Windows 2000, CF can only be created once without administrator rights
If a CF is created in Windows 2000 without administrator rights, on some PCs this process can't be repeated. During the second attempt no CF
is displayed, so the process no longer works.
The PC must be restarted in order for a second CF to be generated. This problem does not occur when the user has administrator rights.

CD creation: No relative paths are entered for the command "CFRestoreFiles"
If a CD is created from a .pil file that contains the "CFRestoreFiles" command, it will not work. The problem is that the paths are not entered as
relative paths for the "CFRestoreFiles" command.

If a CF is created automatically using the .pil file, under certain circumstances the dialog for selecting the CF appears in the background.

If the process is cancelled while creating an image file, an image file can then no longer be created. The dialog window must be closed and
reopened before an image can be created again.

"CFGenerate" command: Path for USER partition data can not be entered as a relative path
For the CFGenerate command, if the path for the USER partition data is entered as a relative path, even though it is correct it will result in an
error message stating that the directory does not exist.

If an image is created from a 64 MB SanDisk or Silicon Systems CF card, the image file can be restored, but the resulting CF card doesn't
work. The respective target system (e.g. PP400) can't be started with this CF card.
This problem only occurs when the image is restored on a 64 MB card from Silicon Systems. If the image is restored on a 64 MB card from
SanDisk, the error doesn't occur.

If a directory is specified for the USER partition, it is not copied when generating the remote install structure.

CD creation: The file "bootrom_pp400.sys" is missing from the output directory
When a CD is created from a PP300/PP400 project, the file "bootrom_pp400.sys" is missing from the created directory. As a result, the CD
that is created cannot be used to setup a CompactFlash card for a PP300/PP400 device.
Workaround:
The file "bootrom_pp400.sys" must be manually copied from the PVI Transfer installation folder to the output directory.

CF creation: Problems (CPU never finishes booting) with AR 2.92 for large HW configurations
When the PVI Transfer Tool is used to create a CF for AR 2.92 (or higher), and the HW configuration is large, the CPU gets stuck in the boot
procedure and never finishes. The reason for this is that the default setting for the SYSTEM partition of the PVI Transfer Tool is too small.
Workaround:
The size of the SYSTEM partition must be increased manually before creating the CF.

When the user only has read only access to the project from which a CF should be created, the CF creation is completed without errors, but
the resulting CF is empty.
The problem occurs, for example, when a user tries to create a CF from a project that is stored on a network (where he or she has read only
rights). The CF is created without errors, but is empty.

If the command "WriteVariableListToPLC" is used to write a TIME variable to the PLC, the TIME value does not reach the PLC correctly. If,
however, the function "WriteVariable" is used, everything works fine.

If the command "VariableWatch" is used to monitor multiple structure components from the same structure, only the first structure component
is ever shown, all others are not.

If you select the option "Installation/Update of Automation Runtime" and begin the process of creating a remote install structure without having
a valid .pil file, the PVI Transfer Tool will crash.

The new "CFService" command can be used to partition a CF card without copying data to it.

New command "ARUpdateFileGenerate": Adding the sysconf to the AR update file
The "ARUpdateFileGenerate" command is used to generate an AR update file (.br) from an AR base file (.s*). The AR update file can then be
transferred directly to the PLC, where it updates Automation Runtime. You can also add .br modules such as sysconf.br to the AR update file.

"CFRestoreFiles" command with partition data doesn't create a BootLoader with PP400 CF
If the command "CFRestoreFiles" is used to generate a CF with partition data for a PP400, the PP400 doesn't boot. On the PP400 you get the
message "No boot device present. Halting".

User mode: Progress bar remains in the same place for very long time
If multiple commands are called in sequence in user mode (using "include" command), the progress bar stops moving for a long time. This
problem occurs when a command is used that takes a long time (e.g. CFRestore). For the user, it appears that the process has frozen.

User mode: "Initialization..." dialog box stays on screen
In user mode, the "Initialization" output stays in the middle of the screen throughout the initialization phase. During long initialization phases
this dialog box is usually in the way, and the process cannot be stopped during this time.

User mode: Updates to the layout
The following changes were made to user mode:
In order to display the progress better, there are now 2 progress bars (current command and total progress)
New command "CustomModeSettings": This command makes it possible to turn the online status on/off (connection status and PLC
information) during runtime.
WinNT CAN Treiber

The B&R CAN driver does not work in Windows Vista, and so INA 2000 via CAN and CAN direct cannot be used in Windows Vista either.
