Objective Lots of end-users want to test IP Telephony at their own premises before making any investment in a fully or partially converged solution. To allow Partners to cover that need, Alcatel e-ND supplies them with two kits for pilot installations. Target These kits will be sold to Business Partners having both voice and data experience. Proof of Concept (PoC) kit Definition Two PoC kits are provided: LAN PoC kit made of an OmniPCX 4400 and an OmniStack 6024, it is designed to test telephony over the LAN. Remote PoC kit made of an OmniPCX 4400 and Two OmniAccess 512, it is designed to test Telephony over the WAN, particularly in Branch Office conditions. The voice part of the PoCs is orderable with the release 3.2 or 4.1 depending upon the country and date of order.

PoC pricing- Coop Utilization- Quantity The PoC kit is transferred to the Partner at a heavily discounted price. Additionally, Partners are given the opportunity to use Coop funds (NIBU or CSBU Coop, whichever is available to the Partner) to fund a limited quantity of kits, thus covering half of the kit cost (see Coop guidelines for details). For each Partner, two quantities are defined: Total number of kits purchasable at discounted price Total number of kits for which Coop can be used These quantities have been calculated on Partner last year MLE sales according to the below table.

Partners need to send the form to the local Channel Marketing team that will centralize purchase orders and check coherence of the requests with the number of allowed kits. The local Channel Marketing will forward approved forms to the ABP Support Centre. The support centre will trigger directly the supply chain in order to group voice and data component into a single order. Components are bundled and tested together by manufacturer (Brest-Fr). Shipment is performed in a single pack. Reminder: for co-op utilization, the Partner needs to fill-in a Coop pre-approval form and receive Alcatel Channel Marketing approval. The Partner then submits a Coop claim form and gets credited half of the kit purchase price.
